Mio Fiore Cafe - Hungerford
123 High St, HungerfordWe ate here on a Saturday night and the food and service were excellent. We had prawns, ricotta and spinach ravioli and an Italian sausage pasta dish. They were all excellent and the wine list was good and reasonably priced. The service was quick and friendly despite some large groups. We would definitely return, some of the best Italian food we've tried in the UK.

The Wheatsheaf
Chilton Foliat, HungerfordThis is not a review, just for info!!
According to their Facebook page, the pub appears to have closed on the weekend of 26/27th July 2025 for refurbishment, with no reopening date given.
I’m sure it’s lovely (we were going to go), but will have to wait to see if it reopens!

Eliane of Hungerford
The Courtyard, 24 High St, HungerfordThe food at Eliane is delicious. I have eaten a variety of dishes here but the best so far have been some of the buffe type dishes at the front of the restaurant: the Vietnamese brocolli and grape salad and the roasted fioretto being my absolute favourites.
It can get quite busy so the atmosphere can get quite noisy and you can feel quite squashed in if it's full but it doesn't detract from the quality of the food or service.

The Tutti Pole
3 High St, HungerfordWe were passing though Hungerford and stopped to find somewhere for lunch; spotted the Tutti Pole and popped in. We were greeted by friendly staff, and were seated at a table, our order was efficiently taken and our food arrived promptly too. Our ham egg and chips was delicious and filling. Will be sure to return next time we are passing; we intended to have an ice cream but were too full.

John O'Gaunt Inn
Bridge St, HungerfordI believe that it was Georgia who made our stay in Hungerford memorable.
First, we pumped into this restaurant randomly because there was a good vibe and it was crowded. We lunched and we were served by Georgia, lovely and passionate girl. The food was delicious, one of the best I had during my trip to UK this time. Roasted beef, Amazing ! We had a great time.
While looking for a place to dinner, we walked through Hungerfold, and nothing really attracted us. We remembered that we had had a such great moment at lunch, we must return.
Then, we had Georgia again, who finally presented herself, and we just love the ambiance of this place. If ever back to here, we will visit this place again!

The Dundas Arms
53 Station Rd, Kintbury, HungerfordA very lovely pub along the river with the most beautiful garden and tasty food. The room are very spacious and with a charming private patio. They would benefit from a refresh in the decor and they would be absolutely incredible, but honestly for the price is a very enjoyable and tranquil stay.

The Funghi Club
13 High St, HungerfordSo glad we decided to pop in for an unplanned lunch. Food was excellent, could easily have been in France. Well priced, friendly service, good choice of food. We had 1 seafood crepe and 1 menu du jour which was ample for 2 for lunch. Worth booking, we were lucky, it got busy. It was a little cramped inside, but that was fine, and we had a good view of the high street. We'll be back. Merci!

Costa Coffee
119 High St, HungerfordAlways friendly and cheerful staff which is the highlight of this particular Costa.
The food is ok; you don't exactly expect a gourmet meal in Costa and my judgement is based on a one off purchase of a cheese and ham toasty as I was hungry while waiting to view a flat.
The atmosphere isn't up to much - just a chain cafe on the high street, nothing remarkable.

The Tally Ho
Newtown, HungerfordNice popular community pub that has a varied menu at fair prices. A little out of Hungerford but well worth going to. Advise to book as we went on a Tuesday lunchtime and it didn't take long for all the tables to be occupied. That in itself must be a recommendation!

Hungerford Gourmet Oriental
17 High St, HungerfordBit of a trek for me but i absolutely love their food. Especially the lamb pancakes with hoisin sauce. Only reason 4* for service was they forgot the sauce and pancake salad once didnt realise till got home 15 miles away, was gutted not the same without.
Was very busy at the time, they are very friendly and as said i absolutely love their food, highly recommend.
Also they do a single large crispy pancake roll and omg they are delicious, embarrassed to say i
eat this on the homeward trip each time.

The Bear
41 Charnham St, HungerfordI often eat here with family and friends. It was very busy for a Monday evening because there were a lot of Christmas parties, but we still received excellent service from the young man who we believe is italian. The food as always was very good. My only negative comment would be that not all of our initial choices were available. This does seems to be a frequent issue. But I have to say this is not a big problem because there are quite a few options on the menu, and we were happy with our second choices.
