Traditional pub grub.Nice, tasty food - chicken & mushroom pie, steak & ale pie, followed by sticky toffee pudding & ginger pudding & custard.Drinks were local ale & were fine.The staff seemed genuinely friendly & took order & served food quickly.The only downsides:The table was sticky (with beer stains?) and obviously not very well cleaned before our arrival.The pub is quite noisy in the evening (8 pm) with what I assume are the several pub regulars both male & female propping...read full review

This inn, in a beautiful village setting, provided a delicious Sunday lunch for our six family members yesterday. Everything was wonderful, the food, the service, the setting. Not only that, but the prices were incredibly good value - we could not have chosen better. Thank you staff and chef - it was amazing!

Beautiful outside seating overlooking the cricket green (I didn’t go inside). I had a home cooked ham sandwich with chips and salad, which was delicious. Attentive staff, even on an unprecedentedly busy and hot day. I wasn’t able to fully finish my lunch (because of medication) and the lady serving us made sure there was no issue with the food before happily making me up a doggy bag to take home, which I really appreciated. VERY Reasonable prices. Will certainly return.
