Our first visit since the new owners took over. 7pm on a sat night. Nice quiet table in the smaller area near the bar. Our waiter was brilliant - super attentive all evening (didn't catch his name but tall young chap). We had a mix of starters and all were great and nice size portions. The only slight let down was being told they had run out of both steak specials (ribeye and sirloin) as well as fillet on the main menu which left just rump. Not been here in years but returned today after hearing such good reviews and wasn't disappointed. Great food, great beer, great staff, great combination of country pub and chic restaurant. Special enough for a special occasion or date night, but also casual enough for lunch or a snack and a pint. I know we'll be back soon and on a regular occasion.
