My wife and I called in one evening on our way home after a busy day in town. Initially we were just going to have a drink but decided to stay and have a meal. Turned out to be the best decision we’ve made for a long time. The food was amazing. This is a pub in transition under the new owners who have made a success from the get go in August with great food. The Landlord Lucky is the chef, and his wife Lisa is a great host. This is my local and it’s been busy since they arrived… still needs lots of work to improve decor but the food is excellent. Had a family Roast yesterday and it was lovely with great service. First time eating here and from the time we walked through the door to the time we left it was a very good experience. Very friendly greeting, lots of choices on the menu, food was lovely & all home made which is an important factor for me. We were served by a very nice young man Nathan who looked after us well. We will definitely be returning as there are more dishes on the menu we want to try!
