Fan Fan Pizza
73 High St, Great MissendenIt was so good. The pizza was FANTABULOUS and the service was amazing! I loved the spicy pepperoni and the cheese was so cheesy. It is a FIVE STARS because it is overall THE BEST. (Hugh, 9)

Hampden Arms
Great Hampden, Great MissendenIncredible Sunday Roast. Not many places can make it better than home but this pub does. Even the roast potatoes. Just home from an amazing lunch for 11 of us. Can’t imagine how they do it as we all chose different meats and everyone was blown away with the flavours, portion sizes and friendly staff. Totally hits the spot for Sunday Lunch.

The Chequers Tree
High St, Prestwood, Great MissendenMy friends and I had a lovely dining experience at the Chequers Tree. The choice of food was very varied, and most delicious, especially the spicy chilli prawn starter. I had a full rack of ribs for my main course which was really tasty. We all enjoyed our meals very much but felt a little embarrassed at having to leave food on the plate because we were beaten by the generous portions. The staff were attentive, helpful and friendly, making the whole evening a very enjoyable occasion. The Christmas decorations were a joy to behold and added such a lot to the warm and cosy ambiance of the venue. We look forward to visiting again and would not hesitate in recommending the Chequers Tree. My friends and I eat out together regularly and we all agree that our evening was one of the best we’ve had. Well done to all the staff.

Graziemille Restaurant
The Lee, Great MissendenGreat setting overlooking the “World famous” (it’s been used for outdoor settings for many TV series from “my wife next door” to “midsummer murders”) Lee Common. Italian restaurant the way it use to be done. Enthusiastic staff. Large car park. Small area retains the old fashioned pub style drinking area.

Kissa
99 High St, Great MissendenOk -having tried every coffee spot for simple flat white coffee on the high street. Kisses takes my number 1 spot in Great miss for a coffee on the run. Temp of milk is spot on and combined well with the extractions. I have a few days left in the village and I’ll be back, for my caffeine fix.

The Barn Kitchen
M7PG+G6, Great MissendenBusy lunchtime, we had not booked a table, but they were able to provide us a table for 2.We both had a venison burger, which was delicious. The service was friendly, and food arrived quickly even though they were busy.We both enjoyed the food , and the place had a good atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back again. There is plenty of car park spaces, and the outdoor area is under cover and has an open fire They also provided blankets to help keep you warm as it was a bit chilly and had been raining recently.thanks to everyone on the team for a great lunch.

The Full Moon
Hare Lane, Little Kingshill, Great MissendenJudge a pub by how often you visit. After having a simple lunch in here with a friend, I have now been the last 4 weekends in a row. Great to park up, walk the dog then finish with a Sunday roast. The small plates are amazing but for me it's the staff!! You can tell this is family run, everyone cares!! The food is amazing, the choice of beers too, just brilliant. Now my favourite pub in the area. We live 35 minutes away and it's so well worth the drive!! Just brilliant.

The Cross Keys
40 High St, Great MissendenAmazing food and great service. Had a table available when we walked in. The homemade pie was steak and ale and you could tell it was homemade. The veg was nice and crunchy and lots of gravy. The sausage and mash was tasty as was the sticky toffee pudding and apple and cinnamon crumble. Was a bonus they served custard as many places no longer do

Costa Coffee
30-32 High St, Great MissendenWe called in at this branch on our way to a meeting as we were really early. At the time we were the only customers and we were made to feel really well. The staff are friendly and helpful and dealt with our order for two cappuccino coffees and cakes efficiently. The snack was to the usual high standard I have come to expect at a Costa branch. The branch is typical of the chain and well laid out and spacious. Toilets were modern, well maintained and spotlessly clean.

The Polecat Inn
170 Wycombe Rd, Prestwood, Great MissendenThe contemporary rear extension is a very good example of Juxtaposition. The existing structure is very dark and warren like.Having the two structures meet seamlessly shows the design works well. However, the atmosphere is a little dead with the new extension and could do with some sort of dividing furniture / screens to make it feel less like a canteen. The food is tasty and presented well. The staff are pleasant and thoughtful. The prices are a little above average. (To help keep out the typical Weatherspoon Neanderthals)The outside space is very pleasant but the garden pods sadly clash architecturally with the extension.
