I genuinely believe this is the nicest, friendliest place to go out for drinks in March. Had a problem with a few guys harassing my friend and I and management and staff were very quick to check if we were ok, deal with the problem and made sure we had a good night regardless. Stayed at The Hippodrome for 2 nights while visiting Air Show at nearby Royal Air Force Base.Lovely hotel room, well furnished, very clean and tidy and well laid out with very comfortable bed and great shower.Good breakfast and breakfast menu choice as usual for Wetherspoons.Good service by friendly and very efficient staff. Breakfast the kids had they said was nice and looked decent proportions. Drinks orders correct and delivered timely. Drawings and crayons available which is a help with small kids. Cheap prices. My only issue was the tables were very sticky and we tried two tables before we gave up and just accepted that's what its like there and wiped it ourselves with baby wipes and put napkins down.
