1 Churchgate St, Soham, ElyExcellent and welcoming service, clean and quiet lounge and, most importantly, Neck Oil in Soham and in the proper glass. What's not to like. I need to persuade mine hosts to venture to this part of town.

The Carpenters Arms
76 Brook St, Soham, ElyAlthough I live 80 km away, this pub has become my 'local'. Whoever is behind the bar, or whose name is above the door, a warm and friendly welcome is always on offer. Being off the main strip, many people might not ordinarily know it is there which, for me, is part of its appeal. The bar is spacious and seating such that you can choose to be in the 'thick of things' or sit in a quieter area if you prefer to be out of the limelight. A separate, well proportioned pool room leads onto a beautifully well maintained beer garden, perfect for hot summer evenings. The pub also offers the usual darts, juke box, quiz machine, fruit machine, and friendly locals. A gem of a pub, not spoilt by the plasticity of so many pubs of today. Long may it thrive.

Domino's Pizza - Soham
6 Churchgate Street, Soham, ElyNot a fan of Dominoes due to the Newmarket 1* branch, however popped in here and was pleasantly surprised. Great pizza, great dessert, great service, will definitely return ??
