Excellent service, rocked up at 6:00 on a Saturday night with no reservation. Couldn't fit us in in straight away but made room within the hour ! Fantastic ! ?

Wonderful meal , lunchtime very busy. Efficient friendly service , would have no hesitation in recommending this family run restaurant to anyone, wanting authentic food in a very pleasant atmosphere...Thumbs ? from me.??☘️

Not Just Cafe

Went in unsure, place looked a bit basic.Very warm genuine welcome from friendly staff. Truly excellent Chinese food, very fresh, crunchy veg, flavoursome.Prices very good, and no corkage if you take in your own alcohol.A MUST for any future visit to Whittlesey.

Fontanella's

I booked out the restaurant for my upcoming "big" birthday for 20 people. The whole process was very easy from making menu choices and sorting out seating arrangements. The food on the night was very nice as always, everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and the ambience/atmosphere was spot on. Would definitely recommend this place for a private booking, it's a nice size so you can have the place to yourself and enjoy your night.

Poppy's coffee Bar

Got some take away cake for the little ones as a treat for the start of Easter half term. They had carrot cake and chocolate cake. Only said two words… gorgeous and delicious!

The Straw Bear

Stayed here for a couple months whilst working away , what a genuinely decent and kind bunch , the locals adopted me like a stray fox lol , plus the ribs are the best I've ever had .

The New Crown

First night trying the the new crown .had a great night locals are really friendly great atmosphere and very welcoming bar staff and landlords will definitely be visiting again

First Visit. Was on Straw Bear Saturday. Cask Beers in rear Bar. Food in Vans in Car Park. Plenty of outdoor space. Busy inside and queuing for toilets but under the circumstances quite liked it.

Best chow mein and sweet & sour Cantonese style chicken around. Food is always hot and so flavourful, at a great price. Only downside is no card payment availability, just cash or bank transfer, but we come prepared now so not an issue. We’ve tried other takeaways in the area and none beat this.

Hong Lok Garden

I usually buy food here, tonight I bought vegi noodles and half house noodles and house fried rice. It's the best I've tasted in the whole of Peterborough so far.Absolutely delicious ?

Visited today for the first time wasn’t sure what food we would like so opted for the buffet the price was reasonable and food was amazing the staff were really helpful and very friendly all round wonderful experience will definitely be coming

The food was absolutely amazing ? chips were very crispy and the burger and chicken burger was so fresh. I was so pleased I called to say how happy I was. Please keep it up

The George Hotel - JD Wetherspoon

Very busy pub atmosphere. Find a table, remember table number, order at bar, pay for each part ordered.Staff deliver food to table.Drinks - hot and refillables - see below.Alcohol served also at same till.Met a good friend for lunch.Quite a wait in cue at bar to order food and drinks. Went during busy lunchtime. Never been before. Empty cups given when hot or cold drinks ordered and paid for at bar. Guess what, need to get own cutlery and sauces from a place still unknown to me as staff server retrieved for us.After waiting an absolute age to place order to start with, have to join separate cue, totally different place for drinks and self serve through complex machinery. Maybe this could be improved by having staff member assistance at that point as two long cues quite frustrating especially if only want a drink, or revisiting for additional dessert. My experience we cued 6 times, twice for two hot drinks, 3 times for hot food, Starter/ Mains / Desserts. Easily at busy times takes up at 15- 20mins each time, is 90 mins to 2 hrs just to cue. Milk also ran out at hot drink section. Being self serve it looked a mess, bits of rubbish from packets and spillages.If attending as solo diner, high probability that the table once found as vacant, before starting to cue at bar (to place selected food / drink order), could also be seen by new guests arriving and taken again by the time first customer returns to that spot !!No way of marking the table as still vacant, or pending due to need to visit bar cues, or even go bathroom. Could this be improved? Maybe tags or large spoons on each table, so if cueing, locator cant be used again if elsewhere in process.Bar drinks and food combined ordering via 1 till (on the day I visited), so bar staff extremely busy trying to cope.Cue at times I felt encroched spacially, on individuals occupying tables nearest bar area.All that being said, organisationonally, system lets you down, customer experience with ordering could be streemlined.Staff there coped very well, were amazing, in their attitudes and service.Food was totally delicious, lots of varied menu choices. Food hot, servers x 1 and manager fast. Admired their plate handling skills.Well done for managing very busy customer period.Will definately visit again.Take a friend, as they aid by holding table until return from short holiday break cueing.Parking: We parked side street, across road, away from main pub location, needed to walk 5 mins back to pub. Worse on market days for sure. Was busy enough on weekday lunchtime for us.

FRIAR TUCKS OF WHITTLESEY

We had medium cod and large cod,which you couldn't fault.The chips were terrible,they tasted as though they had been reheated.You can definitely tell the difference in the food when Paul isn't there.Would normally recommend fish and chips when when Paul is cooking.
