A fantastic small pub with a history of 150 year’s service serving good beer to the city of Chester and its military. Quite simply put , this place is what all small independent pubs where like at the turn of the 20th century. We were visiting Chester and saw this absolute gem of a pub from the city wall. The welcome was warm and friendly. The landlady even got her cat from her bed because I was missing mine!! The food was amazing. My husband had the liver and I had the haggis, it was a hard decision advice wanted it all.
Very friendly, good choice of drinks, attentive bar staff, relaxed atmosphere, reasonably priced, excellent location are just some of the attributes of this very fine establishment. I would happily recommend The Albion. A truly hidden gem.
