“Called in today for some lunch with family waitressed on again by the lovely Karen who is an absolute credit to the pub and restaurant always professional without being intrusive ans always shows interest in out 3 year olds day . What a lovely lady . Food comes out hot and quick to the table well presented good portion size and very well priced . Been a couple of times just lately and we have booked for Christmas eve and also breakfast with santa and im sure it will be just as good . Area clean and comfortable staff approachable and professional”

Very old pub but tastefully decorated with a lovely friendly atmosphere.
Not good for watching sports but other pubs locally can accommodate.”

“Amazing staff, always so kind when I get food from here. The chips are top quality, fish is some of the best ive had and the sausages couldn't be better. The service is very good, a little slow at times but that's mainly affected by how busy it is.”

“Called in, unplanned, at The White Lion on our way back home this evening (Tues 11 Feb 25). Pleasant welcome from the barmaid & bartender, and good atmosphere overall. Good selection of beers, lagers, & ciders on tap. My pint was great & went down very easily. Extensive menu with a good choice for everyone. Selected meals freshly cooked & well presented. Large portions & the best chips we’ve tasted in a long time. Think we’ll be returning sooner rather than later. Thank you.”
