Meze Greek Restaurant
116 Wilmslow Rd, Handforth, WilmslowThis is one of the best restaurants I have been to all year. I dined here with my boyfriend last week. I wish I lived closer so I could go there regularly - please open a branch in Birmingham.
The atmosphere was really warm and inviting. Really beautiful decor and warm lighting. The service was top notch, even though the team were quite busy. The staff attended to us very quickly and our food came piping hot.
We shared the hummus and courgette fritters (these were my favourite). We then shared chicken souvlaki and gyros. The portions were spot on. The flavours were fresh and food was well seasoned. The chicken was not dry at all. I just wish I had room for dessert. Don’t hesitate to book a table here. Great value for money and overall lovely experience!

NEW WOK'S COOKING Chinese Takeaway
122 Wilmslow Rd, Handforth, WilmslowAmazing food! We had the first takeaway and it was super good. We can’t wait to order it again actually. Finally a good Chinese as we’ve struggled to find a good one.
Loved the battered king prawns and chicken satay screwers!!! Will recommend that and also the sweet and sour chicken.

Costa Coffee
Units 26 & 27, The Paddock, Wilmslow Rd, HandforthCalled in for coffee with Mum approx 11.45. I use this costa quite frequently. The 2 baristas friendly as always but quite a large queue formed as they seemed to be concentrating on takeaway/delivery orders. Shouldn't in store custom take priority?

Costa Coffee
Next, Handforth Dean Retail Park, Earl Rd, Handforth, WilmslowPopped in today for a take away oat flat white and your servers were doing a fantastic job. The store was extremely busy and they were clearly understaffed but managed to maintain excellent service with cheery disposition.

Manchester Airport Stanley Hotel
Manchester Airport, Stanley Rd, Handforth, WilmslowOk, so I have seen a lot of the negative reviews, and I have to say I wasn't expecting much.
But this place is absolutely fine, especially if you're only staying one night at either end of a flight. The beds are large and comfortable, the rooms are a good size, and the bar and restaurant ARE both open. I've seen some complaints about cleanliness, and whilst I did spot a bit of dust behind a bedside table whilst plugging my charger in, I absolutely wouldn't complain about that.
The food was surprisingly cheap, and even if it IS a tad basic, it was absolutely worth it for the price. I got nachos, a chocolate brownie with ice cream, and a glass bottle diet coke (normal size, not those tiny ones) for £15.50, and the service was prompt and very friendly.
Admittedly, I hadn't realised it would be a £10 taxi ride from the airport, but even with that factored in it's STILL slightly cheaper than the most budget option closer by (and I bet the food is cheaper here too)
My only small complaint is that the room was absolutely boiling when I walked in, but thankfully the radiator was easy to operate to turn off, and I found a fan in a cupboard.
So yeah, I would genuinely tell anyone who sees all the over-critical, precious, frankly incorrect 1* reviews to ignore them.
It's not a premium hotel, sure, but if you were looking for premium you'd be spending a lot more, and this place is genuinely better than quite a few big chain hotels I've stayed in for cleanliness, service, price, AND facilities
