We ended up here after a really awful Airbnb experience, and honestly, this pub saved our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel welcome and looked after. Kayleigh in particular went above and beyond—she was kind, calm, and genuinely cared that we were okay.
The room was absolutely lovely and spotless, the food was really good, and they even gave us a little box of treats and a toy for our dog, which was such a thoughtful and cute touch. It turned a stressful situation into a genuinely positive memory. Great atmosphere, amazing people, and incredible service when it mattered most. We can’t thank you enough and will definitely be back.

Stayed last year on our way to Heysham and enjoyed so much we returned this year. Looked after very well by the staff; room 8 was larger than expected, very comfy, and liked the highland theme. Not sure I would use the bathtub in the bedroom area. Enjoyed dining; tasty food. Receptionist put us on a different table than the one we requested as she thought we'd prefer to be away from the noise of a large group - very thoughtful of her and we were grateful. Wee bit of a wait for foodbut there was a large group in at the same time. Highly recommend.

Firstly the restaurant itself is excellent. It’s very well done inside and has a very good atmosphere. I believe their current location is newer than when this restaurant first opened which may be why.\n\nThey have a great menu and the food was excellent. Our party had either pizza or pasta and all of us commented how good the food was.\n\nThe only let down was the service. When we first arrived and drinks orders were taken, the waitress took one drink order at a time, as in took an order and prepared it, came back and took another. That said, the other waitress that took and brought our food order was brilliant.\n\nOverall would definitely recommend - if you can actually book a table, they fill up fast.

Very good pub in a good location close to the canal. Food is typical pub grub food, the pieminster pies are fabulous and well worth the price. Nice well kept pint of San Miguel at a decent price. Landlord and landlady very friendly and happy to chat to customers. I've called in a few times and I will be back in the near future. A proper pub with a good mix of locals, boaters and walkers. Very good vibes.

I had been to our local hospital and was looking for somewhere smart for a relaxing drink,, a really kind lady came in with me as I am an elderly lady but a bit shy and had not been in here before..it was beautiful the decor the service and the quality of the white wine......there was a lovely customer too with a delightful dog..

What an amazing find. Food was fabulous, the owners were so helpful with everything. The contents of the deli were amazing. Ended up spending over a £100 as so much to choose from. Will be back very soon.

My wife and I visited for Date Night at the weekend. We've not been here for a few years and it's got new owners since so we were looking forward to visiting.

First thing I'll say is, the decor is modern and fresh, I'm not really a fan, I prefer warm and cosy. There is really harsh spotlighting and we both said it's like being in a staff canteen. If this is your thing then great, but it's not to our liking.

The service was good, we were greeted by a young girl, who quickly found us a table as we hadn't booked. It turns out it was her first night and we were both impressed with her. The manager on the other hand I feel was being really hard on her and in front of the customers. She was doing a great job for me and it spoilt my enjoyment a little seeing him constantly having a go at her.

The food was lovely, my wife had a Lasagna and I had a Pizza. The Lasagna was flavourful and the right size portion. Not too big, not too small. My Pizza was spot on.

We'll visit again for sure. We probably won't rush back as we've been to other places lately we prefered. The harsh spotlights for me are a bit of a turn off.

Visited last night for our annual Christmas night out and have to say it was as good as ever, food and service was spot on, with friendly staff, book the restaurant it's a great night out and the sweet trolley is full of nice desserts.\nWill definitely be back in a few months.

I love this little place. I’m not a local and only visit Sandbach 2-3 times a year but always make time to pop in. The bar staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the locals are welcoming. They have a wonderful selection of cask & keg beers and rotate them regularly. Breweries from the area always feature. One whole wall is an amazing variety of cans & bottles to take away. Child & dog-friendly too, which always helps if you have either.

Able to order and pay online -great. Ordered for specific time collection preventing queuing. Food was top notch but was reflected in the price. Large fish over £9 - I’d call it a normal fish in size. Large chips, again I’d call normal over £5 - really expensive for size of portion. Staff friendly and shop clean.
