Chef’s Chicken Chilli, just the balance of spice and flavour, wow... yet to be equalled IMO. The Massala is gorgeous, but let’s not forget the Akbari Cham Cham! The only downside is wishing I lived nearer!

The food that we tasted last night was impeccable and the decor is just what you would expect from the team at the Blackfriar. I haven’t been to a pub in years that I have wanted to spend a lot of time in and honestly can see this being somewhere that we go to regularly. Can’t wait for it to open properly! Well done! ?

5 & 6 Warham St, WilmslowWe went with friends for the 1st time in about 10 years. It was as excellent as I remember it when it 1st opened. The food was wonderfully presented, we were not rushed and the service was excellent even though they were very busy in the restaurant and with the takeaway service. The pricing was fair too + our friends took food home.

The two-for-one deal on a Monday is amazing value for money with a multitude of toppings. I've had about half the menu here and it never disappoints- a must-go if you're in Wilmslow!

There was a warm welcome and a good atmosphere in the pub with plenty of seating. I wish I had been there on their comedy or music nights.

My favourite dishes are haddock and chips, both of which they do very well, and pretty much any and every kebab they make (beyond doner, which itself is excellent, they know how to do Mediterranean and marinated (tandoori style) chicken). I was last in there in 2015 and to be honest it kept a really good pint. The pub was filthy though, just like a real boozer should be. Haven't got a scooby-doo what it's like nowadays, great to hear it's still going. Many pubs closed down these days, look at what's happen to the Rifleman Arms down the road. They've built a load of unnecessary dwellings for the middle classes. I'll probably bob in to the Carters again soon and give their real ale a test once again. See you soon.

We recently moved from London to Wilmslow and visited this Caffè Nero for the first time with my husband a few weeks ago, and it immediately left a great impression. As soon as you walk in, you’re welcomed by the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a warm, cosy atmosphere that makes the space feel relaxing and inviting. The café is very well managed, everything from the seating areas to the toilets is spotless, which really adds to the overall experience and makes you feel comfortable staying awhile.
The coffee was excellent and well-made, and clearly prepared with care. You can tell the team takes pride in what they do, and it really shows in the overall experience.
The staff are friendly and welcoming, but we’d especially like to mention Abbey. She stood out straight away with her genuine smile, positive attitude, and attentive service. She made us feel truly welcome and took the time to make sure everything was just right. Abbey brought such a warm and uplifting energy to the café, and her skills and kindness really enhanced the experience.
This cafe is already a great spot, and staff like her make it feel special. It’s the kind of place you’re happy to return to, knowing you’ll be welcomed and looked after. We’ve been very impressed and will definitely be back again.

Fulshaw Gate, Alderley Rd, WilmslowVery pleasant stay, two of our rooms were small and the other a decent size but we had no complaints although it would have been nice to have a few more hooks to hang up our wet coats and towels. Rooms were very clean and the beds very comfortable! The landlady and staff were very welcoming - great location to walk to lovely restaurants. Thank you for your hospitality.
