Wow! We were heading to the fancy pants restaurant owned by a famous chef down the road and I'm so glad they were fully booked because the food at Oceanside is utterly amazing! Literally the best meal out I've had in years! The staff were friendly and aim to please. Lovely atmosphere and well decorated interior although my girlfriend was annoyed because I was memorised by the TV showing the sea fish ?. The food though.....WOW!!! For once a decent hotel which we could not fault .starting with a very nice polite receptionist . Our room was newly decorated , lovely pale blues and grey , really comfortable bed, gorgeous views over the golf club and sea. There was a beach theme running through this contemporary style hotel, a busy buzzing bar, nice modern seating outside Lovely breakfasts and good cocktails. All staff were friendly and in a great location.

I was a fan when it was the Carnmarth but if anything it’s even more welcoming now. Good friendly staff, delicious hot food at a good price and a good range of drinks. Always the first stop when we arrive in Newquay too early to check in to our lodgings so I’ve only ever been for food and drink. But I’d definitely consider staying. Yet another enjoyable visit.
