Exceptional food, lovely atmosphere, very welcoming and knowledgeable staff. When we commented on how exceptional the sticky toffee pud is (oh my word is it good) we were treated to tips and tricks to level up our game should we ever want to, and details of the 4 generation old recipe. It was a foodie treat.

We booked this pub/restaurant for Sunday lunch without having any idea what to expect, but as soon as we walked through the door we knew it was going to be great. It has been sympathetically refurbished in soft earthy colours with soft oak tables and chairs and a flagstone floor. Busy but not crowded, there was a nice vibe. Fantastic pub, we didn't eat here this time but definitely will next time we are in Gorran. Felt very welcome by all staff and other guests, even when we got a bit competitive at the pool table ? great for families, lovely garden area at the back and table football/pool table area at the back for our large family to enjoy. We had a great Saturday afternoon here and can't wait to come back xx
