Heard various reviews of this chippy ranging from good to bad Well today I tried it at lunch time I had jumbo sausage chips and beans I have to say a solid 8/10 Normal chippy sausage Chips were nice and hot and very tasty Beans hot So for that meal a good start and will be back to try the fish Service quite slow Takes card and cash
I went here years back and I miss it so much. I was a long way from home, working in the village for a few weeks and this is the best all round chip shop I have yet found. The batter is a bit like tempura, light and crispy. Down south we don't have the delightful options of battered haggis or black pudding and rarely a steamed steak and kidney pudding.If this chip shop relocated to somewhere like Bristol they would make a killing and I could dine like a king again.
