Met up with family and friends at King Alfred 02.03 24, some I haven’t seen for quite some time and looking forward to having a catch up and enjoying our meals, knowing the King Alfred had a good name for food.Having to Pre-Order, which I found strange, due to being only 7 of us, its not Christmas and the table booked for 12, O’clock, therefore I expect the food on my plate to be correct when ordered. Great pub n restaurant, excellent hot n cold food, lush cakes ? lovely atmosphere never disappointed when we visit only done 4* for rooms as never used them coz I live local but know of friends that have stayed and rated them well!Safety: A safe area and locationWalkability: Walkable to coast/beach and town too.Food & drinks: Excellent food n drinks! Lots of choices on food cooked very well and a wide variety of drinks available too!

Haven't been in a while as heard the food had gone downhill but can say they have picked it back up again. Food was delicious. Very big portions. Cakes look amazing but didn't have room for them. Staff always attentive and friendly. Will def be going
