Our first visit to LOTG Houghton. Lunch. The Lal Plus wine flight. Nice ambiance. Very competent and friendly service. A couple of brilliant courses - the beetroot and goats cheese is exceptional - accompanied by a quite brilliant honey and thyme brioche. The fabulous burn meringue sets the standard for a sweet. What a treat one of the best Michelin Stat restaurants we have been too and we’ve been to a few up here in Cumbria. Every course was gorgeous, staff were vary attentive and helpful. We will definitely be back.

This was my fourth visit and already looking forward to my fifth! I had the 4 course option which included 3 glasses of wine. It all worked well! Food was amazing! Main course served by James (the boss)! Love the way each course is described. I had the vegetarian menu so did not know what I was going to get. It would be good if this was put on the website but accept that this may not be the same every time.
