Market Pl, AmblesideI travelled to the Lake District earlier this year on my first solo trip. I visited Friars as part of a tour to Keswick, and I was spellbound by the products on offer! I bought so many gifts that I had a job getting them home on the train. The Christmas book hamper I bought was won by a client and collected today. He was delighted with the contents, as am I! Thank you so much for making my trip so special.

Chicken korma, Keema rice, coconut rice, kebab roll, mixed kebab starter, sag aloo. Parking on street.

Chocolate Factory Hawkshead
Main St, Hawkshead, AmblesideThis is a really great experience for children and adults alike. The only thing that let's the place down is lack of toilet facilities. You have to use the public toilets across the road, which are 60p to use, but which are not very nice nor hygienic. There us no baby change facilities in the gents, so single dads will be a little stuck.
Aside from this The Chocolate Factory was great with great, polite staff. We would certainly recommend a visist?

8 High St, Cleator MoorHonestly the best takeaway around here. The food is flavourful and fresh, the delivery is speedy and the pricing is fair. Best quality meat and flavour in the spices used in the kebabs when it comes to chicken or shish, the staff are awesome and the garlic bread uses actual chopped garlic, which is honestly so refreshing compared to so many other places that just slather butter with garlic powder. 10/10 would always recommend.

Grasmere Chocolate Cottage
The Old Coach House, Stock Ln, Grasmere, AmblesideI ordered two each of the passionfruit, Dark Sour Cherry and Mint Chocolates, and they were all very delightful. The cashier was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. I highly recommend stopping in.

84 High St, Cleator MoorHad a great pizza from here recently. The crust cooked to perfection, the cheese was spread and melted consistently, the sauce tasted lovely. Have been here multiple times and always enjoyed. Will be returning.
