Great place to stay, we were put in their sister pub, The Salutation Inn, just up the street. Room was big and comfortable, although the bathroom was very small ( which we had a laugh about!)Food was one of the best bar meals we've had for a long time (liver and onions and cumberland sausage) .The breakfast was just as good. All the staff went above and beyond to make our entire stay special. Highly recommend visiting this place.
Just visited here with my husband and the food was incredible! I had the lamb Henry and he had the braised beef, we gave both 10/10. A lovely cosy pub atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back here next time we’re up in the lakes!

Popped in whilst en route to Keswick, just off the A66. Both the steak pie and the fish and chips were very tasty, and so was the ale. Worth a visit, it's only about 10 mins further than the end of the Keswick railway path which is a lovely walk and would be made better with a visit to this pub. Recommended ??Food & drinks: Well kept ales and hearty portions of tasty food.
