Great pub for family get togethers, slightly out of the way as you have to drive as it is out of town, but it is a little more quieter too.Food options are vast and the service impeccable.Will come back for the mixed grill again!Vegetarian options: lots of meals for veggiesParking: flat and easily accessibleKid-friendliness: welcome kids

Everywhere was booked up the Blue Jay really wasn't what we wanted. it was my Sons Birthday and it was a last min booking. But we wereAbsolutely blown away by the service we gotFood was cracking staff were fab and they even put candles on a cake we took in with us and when they produced the cake the staff came and sang happy birthdayIt really was a lovely couple of hoursWhatever has been done to turn the pub around carry on it was a pleasant surprise.

We stayed the night at the hotel opposite so The Blue Jay was perfect for dinner. There's a large car park so no problem parking. We received a warm welcome as soon as we entered. We checked in at the hotel reception that's inside the pub and then sat at a table. The menu is exactly what you want so plenty of choice and all reasonably priced.
