Pity we are not local.\n\nThe focus is Sri Lankan Street food and there is a short, accurate description of the dishes on the menu.\n\nParticularly enjoyed the Negambo Abula. I'm not a fan of aubergine and I don't know how the aubergine moju was cooked but it was so good. The chicken nasi goreng Colombia was tasty and well presented, as indeed was the Abula.\n\nFor me the portions are a generous size.\n\nPrices are reasonable.\n\nFriendly staff\n\nIt was very quiet when we visited on Friday.\n\nThe only negative is a slightly musty smell on entry. This disappears as you walk upstairs.

13 Victoria St, GlossopWe called in today after a trip to Glossop for a collection and we decided to call in on the way back after seeing it on our journey through. We got such a warm welcome and everything we asked for we received. The food was delicious and so well presented. If we are ever up in glossop we will definitely call again. My husband said it was one of the best breakfasts he’s had and mine and my daughter’s cheese toasties were the best we’ve had. Thank you so much.

Tesco Cafe
Wren Nest Rd, GlossopWonderful! Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Took my order in a nice mannor and made me feel very welcome from the start. Plenty of seating to choose from. I ordered a breakfast and Tea, both were amazing. Plenty of food at this Cafe! Compared to the last Tesco cafe (where I had more fingers then beans on the plate) this really bumped up my recommendation for Tesco Cafes.
The food here is honestly the best I've had at any Tesco Cafe and I'm quite the Tesco breakfast person when traveling. You can tell it was made with love rather then thrown together and launched at you. Plenty of beans, egg was perfect with a nice runny yolk, bacon was not too fatty like most places, hash browns were out of this world (share your secrets please) and toast was perfect. Honestly it was like was waking up on a Sunday morning running down stairs to see your mother has made you a English breakfast!
My only issue that could be completely down to me as it was my choice. The table in the back corner. It's very low - like when in the seat my knees are higher so it made eating a little uncomfortable. Looking around through there is only one other table like this so in the end it was my choice, but would be wonderful if it it was just a tad bit higher!
Overall if you are like me and staying in the Stockport area wondering which Tesco Cafe should I head over for breakfast then choose this one. I'm saving this location for next time I'm down south as honestly it was worth every second, penny and full stomach!
Parking: Plenty of spaces and location is great and easy to get to.

Norfolk Pizza
Derbyshire County, 16 Norfolk St, GlossopFinding a local takeaway that delivered to me offering great food has been difficult as at best most of the local takeaways are average at best. I’ve tried most of the takeaways in Glossop including a couple of new ones that people were raving on about but I didn’t rate them that good so won’t be returning. I thought I’d give Norfolk Pizza a try and I’m so glad I did! I’ve never been a huge pizza lover however these guys have converted me. The pizzas in my opinion are definitely, by a country mile, the best in Glossop. The pizza base is the perfect ratio of not being too thick and doughy with the crust just right not to be too dry. The toppings for the pizza are, again in my opinion correctly rationed and not just slopped on top. It’s an excellent example on how to build a perfect pizza. The pizza’s therefore are delicious and much tastier than other rival takeaways including dominoes. In terms of delivery, the speed of service is excellent and the pizzas are always delivered piping hot by the drivers who always have a smile on their face. In terms of value for money, I would say that it’s really cheap for the quality of food they serve. This place is so good that now I have become a regular. Like all humans mistakes happen and on one occasion I paid for pepperoni on my pizza and they forgot to put it on. I rang them to let them know and rather than being a a*hole and demanding they resend the pizza, I asked if they could put extra pepperoni on next time. The staff were so apologetic and I suspect relieved that I didn’t make too much of a fuss and when I ordered the next time they remembered and gave me extra pepperoni. This tells me that they genuinely care about the food they serve and want to look after their customers. In addition to their excellent pizzas, the kebabs are damn tasty too and again you get a big portion of meat. Whilst I do enjoy hot chilli sauce with a kebab, the mild sauce they serve is excellent. It’s a homemade sauce that is unique and not something that you would find in any other takeaway. My review is based on my experience of around 10 deliveries and although I have given quite a lengthy review, I think that this takeaway deserves a lot of credit for making me a pizza lover and consistently delivering me hot delicious exceptional food and this is why I consider it to be the best takeaway in Glossop.Finally, I would strongly recommend that you order directly from their own website as it’s simple to use and you get free delivery. This is better than ordering from the likes of just eat as there is also no service charge so your meal is cheaper for you and better for the takeaway as they don’t pay commission which means they can keep serving better ingredients which ultimately makes it better for the customers. Had a 20% offer on so we ordered a varietyoff food e.g. chicken burgers (fussy kid gave it 9 out of 10!!), a mixed madras which was spicy but not too spicy as a madras shouks be and a mega kebab. Food came quickly and was hot. One criticism was that I asked for no donner on the notes but that was ignored, but it was actually quite tasty donner meat! For my fussy kids to rate a place is a great accomplishment!

The food is always fantastic and the service is top notch. We quite often get Shaz as our server and he cannot do enough for us. It was absolutely delicious and has all the essential qualities of a proper pub roast. the portion was generous, top tier Sunday roast. I will definitely be going back.

101 Station Rd, Hadfield, GlossopTruly authentic Indonesian taste! We had the Bakmi Siantar, and it was absolutely spot-on—just like what you'd get back home in Indonesia. Do note that you need to pre-order it a day in advance, but trust me, it’s worth the wait. We also tried the salt and pepper tofu, bakwan jagung, and babi panggang—all of them were delicious and perfectly seasoned.
Service was just as impressive. The owners were kind enough to open the restaurant just for us, even though they had originally planned to close that day to move some things. After dinner, we even had a lovely chat with the owner—such a warm and welcoming experience.

55 High St W, GlossopHonestly this place is super cute, i love the design and the overall atmosphere! it’s very cutesy and i love that. the service is also excellent, the waitress was attentive and kind. my only issue is the food, i understand this is a high street cafe in glossop so it won’t be the cheapest. however i found that the quality of the food didn’t match the price. very average and tasteless food, which was a let down. this sounds so mean but i just think if the quality of the food matched the quality of the general aesthetic and matched the prices, it would be much better!

We had breakfast on the Sunday morning and it was really outstanding..
I had (as did most of our party) the traditional breakfast which was plenty although one had the full breakfast and it was huge …Really well cooked good variety of ingredients ?…
Parking at the front of the hotel was no problem ..Rooms Can be noisy at the front but it is in the middle of the town so an obvious comment..
Overall it exceeded my expectations..Oh and I nearly forgot staff were really on the ball and VERY friendly from bar staff to cleaning staf.. A great stay would definitely go again…

We happened upon midday bingo with the older generation who were equally as lovely and chatty.
Highly recommend as a place to go with a nice atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks (in comparison with the north)!

18 Henry St, GlossopWe have eaten here before in the restaurant but never tried home delivery, so just tried a home delivery for the first time - it was brilliant, delivered for free on time. Good sized potions, sensible price, and great quality. We had NYC steakhouse burger, and poulet a la ail gourmet fries - both were top class ingredients, cooked perfectly and with no waste. Will definately be using this place regularly. Looking forward to what's on the ever changing menu next week.

I had quite particular requests regarding my meal, but the new duty manager Josh ensured they were carried out, and carried out they were perfectly. He is a credit to the pub and chefs are good at what they do. I certainly recommend their steak and can only presume they put the same care into their other food.

Bernard St, GlossopLovely Sunday dinner. \nWe were encouraged to dine here by a friend of the family who lives in Glossop area. I’m so glad we gave it a try because the food and service were lovely. The choices we had were all home made, fresh vegetables, and very generous portions. \nNext time we go, I need to try the 3 cheese pie because going off the pie I did have this evening, I bet it will be great. \nSomehow this evening we had room in tummies for dessert, and my goodness the sticky toffee pudding was lovely. \nThe staff were very attentive and friendly. \nIt was Remembrance Sunday, and as I am a military veteran I was given a discount which was such a nice gesture. \nThank you.

We had margarita and truffle risotto and both were great, just what we hoped for! Really enjoyed glossop.

137 Manor Park Rd, GlossopMy husband and I took my Aunt and Uncle to Sarah's Kitchen for lunch. When the food arrived, it was hot and of a generous sized portion (I chose to have salt & pepper chicken bites with chips). Staff were friendly and attentive, without being over-bearing and we'd happily dine there again.

35 Hague St, GlossopWhile visiting friends in Glossop, we were encouraged to visit The Beehive as an authentic friendly pub with the best Thai food this side of Bangkok, due in no small part to the fact that we are visiting Thailand next month. As vegetarians, having never eaten this type of food before, we were intrigued to find out what it was like. \nLook, I could wax lyrical about this place for days. The welcome from every member of staff ( and many locals ) was warm and disarming. \nOur food was so good that we returned the next evening to sample the menu again! I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment for the great beer, truly vast selection of rare whisky, amazing gin collection and, indeed the best Thai food ( according to everyone we met in Derbyshire), that they had ever tasted. Made with love and delivered with smiles. Thailand, the vegetarians are ready. \nAnd the Beehive? Just visit and you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommended! ????????❤️

18 Henry St, GlossopWe have eaten here before in the restaurant but never tried home delivery, so just tried a home delivery for the first time - it was brilliant, delivered for free on time. Good sized potions, sensible price, and great quality. We had NYC steakhouse burger, and poulet a la ail gourmet fries - both were top class ingredients, cooked perfectly and with no waste. Will definately be using this place regularly. Looking forward to what's on the ever changing menu next week.

First class service. Beautiful food - we both had the tomatoes on bread with Serrano ham. The coffee was great and the staff very cheery and helpful.
If I lived nearer I’d be in every day!

Glossop Cafeteria
13 Victoria St, GlossopWe called in today after a trip to Glossop for a collection and we decided to call in on the way back after seeing it on our journey through. We got such a warm welcome and everything we asked for we received. The food was delicious and so well presented. If we are ever up in glossop we will definitely call again. My husband said it was one of the best breakfasts he’s had and mine and my daughter’s cheese toasties were the best we’ve had. Thank you so much.

19-21 High St E, GlossopA real find in Glossop... don't bother with multinational Costa ... just walk up the road past the Howard Arms to Dukes Café. Excellent menu (I had Cajun chicken wrap with fresh salad) & a slice of orange polenta cake...

Kota Lapo Indonesian Street Food
101 Station Rd, Hadfield, GlossopTruly authentic Indonesian taste! We had the Bakmi Siantar, and it was absolutely spot-on—just like what you'd get back home in Indonesia. Do note that you need to pre-order it a day in advance, but trust me, it’s worth the wait. We also tried the salt and pepper tofu, bakwan jagung, and babi panggang—all of them were delicious and perfectly seasoned.
Service was just as impressive. The owners were kind enough to open the restaurant just for us, even though they had originally planned to close that day to move some things. After dinner, we even had a lovely chat with the owner—such a warm and welcoming experience.

The atmosphere was amazing, the venue was perfect, and the bar staff were outstanding — friendly, welcoming, and made sure everyone had a great time. A special mention to Steve Kenny for providing the brilliant karaoke setup! It really brought everyone together and added so much fun to the day. His professionalism and energy helped make the event a real hit. We’re so grateful for all the effort that went into making the afternoon so enjoyable.
