32 Oxford St, RipleyThis was my second visit to Rokka, a warm welcome on both occasions. The restaurant was organised, clean and tidy.
The staff were very attentive and thorough throughout, the owner came across to check that we were happy with our meals.
Great choice of food and drinks all at a very good price, the food is fresh, very well presented …. five stars definitely deserved for a quality restaurant . We will certainly be going regularly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ripley's Fish & Chips
1 New St, RipleyIt’s very hard as a ceoliac (gluten free) to find safe and tasty deliveries. We discovered that here did GF fridays and saturdays and didn’t disappoint! I ordered a battered sausage meal and requested cheesey chips, when they arrived the cheese came separate with a note warning it contained milk however no gluten, though this doesn’t make a difference to me as i have no allergy/intolerance to milk (I believe this as on the website it says the GF batter is also dairy and egg free) it was reassuring as a sign they take allergies seriously. Overall, tasty hot and fresh food despite ordering delivery, also great portion sizes and good for coeliacs! Other options on the menu included classic cod, chicken chunks and plain or battered sausages all available as a meal. Only shame is that GF is only available for 2 days of the week but can be understood due to the extra effort it takes to make it safe.

30 Oxford St, RipleyWe've been coming to this Costa Coffee in Ripley for a few years now. It's always good. The drinks are served efficiently and quickly and it's the same with food, whether you have toast, a cake or a toastie. The staff and the service they provide are wonderful. They are always cheerful and the last time we went in on New Year's Eve 24 they were lovely. They can't do enough for you and are very friendly. It's clean, accessible for people with wheelchairs and for people with prams and children. Well managed coffee shop!

Now I apologise I missed taking the photos but I will be back there very soon so I will have images , I have never found such succulent chicken and such cheesy naan bread it was excellent , please give this place a go it’s so relaxing and the staff are incredible they can not do enough for you and I’m so happy now as Nottingham is a good drive from us but now I’ve found this place I’m so happy ! The wine and poppadoms was all exquisite so pop in you won’t be disappointed!

Now, the outside might not win any beauty contests (it’s got that “seen-better-days” charm), but don’t let that fool you. Step inside and you’re greeted with a spotlessly clean interior that feels like a warm hug from the 1980s — think simple seating and a chalkboard menu that gives the place an old-school, no-nonsense charm.
The food? Absolutely fantastic. I tucked into a generously sized bacon cheeseburger with chips — complete with not one, not two, but three rashers of bacon! Meanwhile, my mum and sister each had an omelette and chips. The omelettes were massive, taking up half the plate and folded beautifully. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted delicious. Plates cleaned. No crumbs left behind.
We also had cappuccinos made with fresh coffee, which hit the spot nicely. While the machine used powdered milk (a tiny drawback), it still made a decent brew. And if you’re an instant coffee fan, you’re in luck — they had a solid variety to choose from.
All in all, The Cheerio Café is well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Hearty portions, friendly service, and great value. We were so full we didn’t even need dinner that evening. Big thanks to the lovely staff for a tasty and satisfying meal — we’ll be back!

I’ve been coming to this chip shop for over 10 years and the customer service of Jackie and the team is brilliant.
On top of that, the food is excellent, never had bad food from them once. Chip are freshly made and the fish is lovely and crispy. The Chinese food is excellent with whole pieces of chicken and none of the reformed stuff you get with other places.
Also it’s all so reasonably priced. We eat here around once a week and usually treat ourselves to food from here on a Saturday evening.
My only gripe is that they sometimes have to close to go on holidays. Which sucks cause it means that if we fancy a takeaway, we have to chose an inferior place and we’ve tried many over the years.
Out simply, Kingfisher and Luke Vic are the best.

Washed down with a glass of Guinness Zero.

I have got to say it did not disappoint, the food was amazing and fresh with some lovely flavours. We had the Korean grilled cheese and Korean rice. We had a 45 minute wait due to them being busy with orders but it was worth waiting for. All the staff was lovely and helpful with any questions we had regarding the food. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.
