32 Oxford St, RipleyThis was my second visit to Rokka, a warm welcome on both occasions. The restaurant was organised, clean and tidy.
The staff were very attentive and thorough throughout, the owner came across to check that we were happy with our meals.
Great choice of food and drinks all at a very good price, the food is fresh, very well presented …. five stars definitely deserved for a quality restaurant . We will certainly be going regularly ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

1 Park Rd, RipleyThoroughly enjoyed a family meal here last night. All the food delivered to our table looked beautiful. I had Garlic Paneer Korahi. It was delicious. I tried Bombay Potatoes, Cauliflower Bhaji, Vegetable rice and Corriander Nan Bread. All tasted great with quality ingredients. Staff were attentive and friendly. Looking forward to my next meal here.

Ripley's Fish & Chips
1 New St, RipleyIt’s very hard as a ceoliac (gluten free) to find safe and tasty deliveries. We discovered that here did GF fridays and saturdays and didn’t disappoint! I ordered a battered sausage meal and requested cheesey chips, when they arrived the cheese came separate with a note warning it contained milk however no gluten, though this doesn’t make a difference to me as i have no allergy/intolerance to milk (I believe this as on the website it says the GF batter is also dairy and egg free) it was reassuring as a sign they take allergies seriously. Overall, tasty hot and fresh food despite ordering delivery, also great portion sizes and good for coeliacs! Other options on the menu included classic cod, chicken chunks and plain or battered sausages all available as a meal. Only shame is that GF is only available for 2 days of the week but can be understood due to the extra effort it takes to make it safe.

Nan bread not as good as eat in but that's to be expected. I don't normally eat nan bread but it's the best I ever had. Staff so friendly. 19-21 High St, Codnor, RipleyOh my goodness people , right listen to this I have been searching for an Indian as nice as Tamatanger in Nottingham and I haven’t found one ……until now !!! Now I apologise I missed taking the photos but I will be back there very soon so I will have images , I have never found such succulent chicken and such cheesy naan bread it was excellent , please give this place a go it’s so relaxing and the staff are incredible they can not do enough for you and I’m so happy now as Nottingham is a good drive from us but now I’ve found this place I’m so happy ! The wine and poppadoms was all exquisite so pop in you won’t be disappointed!

The room is a great size, staff were really helpful and omg the food was amazing!! We had the hot and cold buffet. There was lots to go round. I have had lots of messages this morning saying how impressed they were. It was delicious ?
Apollo DJ's & Children's Entertainers did an amazing job with the disco too. Great songs and everyone was up and dancing!
Thank you to all the team at the Marquis. You did a fantastic job and we will definitely be back x

Now, the outside might not win any beauty contests (it’s got that “seen-better-days” charm), but don’t let that fool you. Step inside and you’re greeted with a spotlessly clean interior that feels like a warm hug from the 1980s — think simple seating and a chalkboard menu that gives the place an old-school, no-nonsense charm.
The food? Absolutely fantastic. I tucked into a generously sized bacon cheeseburger with chips — complete with not one, not two, but three rashers of bacon! Meanwhile, my mum and sister each had an omelette and chips. The omelettes were massive, taking up half the plate and folded beautifully. Everything was cooked fresh and tasted delicious. Plates cleaned. No crumbs left behind.
We also had cappuccinos made with fresh coffee, which hit the spot nicely. While the machine used powdered milk (a tiny drawback), it still made a decent brew. And if you’re an instant coffee fan, you’re in luck — they had a solid variety to choose from.
All in all, The Cheerio Café is well worth a visit if you’re in the area. Hearty portions, friendly service, and great value. We were so full we didn’t even need dinner that evening. Big thanks to the lovely staff for a tasty and satisfying meal — we’ll be back!
