Carter Ln E, South Normanton, AlfretonTypical Prem Inn, beds good and clean/comfortable. The lady on reception very friendly and helpful. Most of the Prem Inns I stay at are getting near revamping time. There are no facilities such as pools & gyms yet they cost more than better star rated Hotels. Not good value any longer.

Castlewood Brewers Fayre
Carter Ln E, South Normanton, AlfretonQuite a busy pub which is close to a large retail outlet and has motel accommodation on site. It was quite busy but the meals were delivered in a short space of time. Both meals were plentiful and well cooked. Would visit again if in the area.

53 Market St, South Normanton, AlfretonIstanbul BBQ came highly recommended so I thought I'd give it a go and wow you didn't disappoint. Food cooked to perfection and very well presented. Didn't eat in and was an early takeaway order so cannot comment on the atmosphere but it looks like a nice warm welcoming place and the staff are lovely, friendly and polite. You've a new regular now so I'll see you next week for another meal, 5*+ :o)

I didn't eat but the food looked lovely. The prices are very reasonable.The staff are very friendly and welcoming.I will definitely return here.

East Midlands Designer Outlet, Mansfield Rd, South Normanton, AlfretonThis place needs a defibrillator - the chap in front of me almost collapsed when he realised he was being charged £17 for takeaway fish and chips. This really is motorway services pricing.Having said that everything seems cooked to order, and the portions are huge. I think the two fishcakes option with chips and curry sauce was around £11 - not bad at all when you consider the freshness, quality and it fed two people.It's located in a 'food court', along with Five Guys, Chopstix, Subway and Burger King.No defibrillator though.Parking: Free huge car park but, depending upon the time of day, you may be hunting for spaces.

Mansfield Road, South Normanton, AlfretonHaving read the reviews I was hoping for a good meal. Not had a Burger King for many years. Ordering from the menu illuminated behind the counter was not too difficult. I had a normal cheese burger and my partner had a whopper. I asked for it to be freshly cooked and hot. Seating is in a food hall with plenty of space. Site toilets are clean. Meal was hot and tasty and the chips were hot. I preferred the chips to McDonalds thin version. So we enjoyed our meal.
