This is by far my favourite pub in Derbyshire. Authentic pub atmosphere, log fires, good beer and the best Sunday lunch ever. Good quality meat and delicious Yorkshire puds. They were happy to accommodate my no onion/leek allergy. We’ll be back! 5 stars for you (oh and very friendly staff too)
We went for my wife’s birthday. The meal was amazing the portion size generous and the staff were friendly. The owners were so pleasant and made us very welcome. The atmosphere was lovely just what you would expect from a country pub! Would definitely recommend and I’m sure will probably end up camping there in the summer. ?

Had a lovely meal last night at the miners standard. We are staying in Winster for the weekend and walked there with our dog, to meet old friends.Food was fantastic, all the staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was warming of a village pub.Highly recommended to others.
