Traditional pub, friendly. Got talking to locals within minutes. Incredible bar lady who went to the 'enth' degree to make sure my pint was in tip top condition. Tele is in totally separate (back) room, so doesn't interfere in the bar.
One of a number of pubs that I visited on a Saturday afternoon in Barnstable with friends. This is what I would describe as a proper locals pub. It oozes proper pub atmosphere with sport on the small screen TV. I had no complaints at all about the cider and I had already eaten and I did not see anyone else eating so I can't comment on the food if served.
