A tale of two halves…the cakes snd scones were superb, absolutely superb, the drinks were also very good with very good quality coffee. The other side of the coin was what I would describe as aloof service, far from rude just not particularly friendly or welcoming. We just didn’t feel particularly valued as customers. 5 star for food.However, we were shown to a table then . . . ignored (it is table service)A lady they knew came in and was seated then the same lady who showed US to our seat served her.We are local (by virtue of having lived in Barnstaple for the last 40 odd years and my husband being born in Braunton. Great service and fab knowledge of gluten free options. Sandwich and soup was amazing topped off with a gluten free brownie. Reasonably priced and well worth the money. Great little spot, will return.
