“We popped in on our way home from a hospital appointment today (8.11.23) just for one beer. What a revelation! Proper bitter. Real ale, made with English hops is a rarity these days, and the Bull and Dragon have their own. The Christmas menu looks amazing too, but that will have to wait for another time! Lovely atmosphere, comfortable seating and nice decor. We will definitely come again soon.”

My husband particularly extolled the virtues of the steak and kidney pudding saying he'd never tasted anything like it and that it was a treat for his taste buds!All of the food we had was delicious, locally sourced and freshly made.We will definitely be back!”

“The staff was amazing! The rooms were some of the nicest rooms in our entire trip! We were stuck in a situation with no where to stay and the staff at the George stepped up and helped 3 Canadian women with kindness and respect. Food was absolutely first rate. Hatherleigh is a lovely town and the residents are amazing. We hope to return again and stay longer. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean and nicely decorated. Everything you could need was supplied!! Thank you.”
