A good pub is all about the landlords that run it and in Mike and Becky's hand this place is a perfect village Inn.Friendly and welcoming with a good choice of quality cider and ale.We have not eaten here yet but have been told it's worthwhile.Parking is easy and it's access to the Tarka Trail at Meeth halt is perfect.
The new landlord took this on during the pandemic and has worked hard to make it a viable enterprise in difficult times! They have converted an area of the car park into a pleasant outdoor space to have a pint and lunch. What a wonderful welcome, such a happy landlord. Was asked if I had a reservation, which I didn't, this wasn't a problem though, there was a quick discussion with the server and a table was found for us, despite the pub being busy. I had the steak and ale pie, which was amazing ! Turned out the kitchen staff was the landlady and what a fabulous job she did. We will definitely be returning on our next trip.
