Meeth, OkehamptonWhat a wonderful welcome, such a happy landlord. Was asked if I had a reservation, which I didn't, this wasn't a problem though, there was a quick discussion with the server and a table was found for us, despite the pub being busy. I had the steak and ale pie, which was amazing ! Turned out the kitchen staff was the landlady and what a fabulous job she did. We will definitely be returning on our next trip.

14 Market St, Hatherleigh, OkehamptonI visited here with my sister in law and my nephew on the evening of September 28th 22This is a cosy and quirky pub with a beautiful back garden. A great pint . We all ordered the sirloin steak which was very reasonably priced . Two were ordered medium rare and I asked for mine blue. All 3 steaks were cooked perfectly. The staff here were attentive but not over the top, welcoming and with good humour . Highly recommended. Thank you for looking after us ?

Duke Of York Inn
Iddesleigh, WinkleighFirst time visit tonight, after a recommendation from our neighbours. Absolutely loved it. After living in mid Devon for 3 years, we had the best meal out since living here. The food was fantastic! The lamb shank and steak and kidney pudding were perfectly cooked and delicious. The real ale (Otter) was a new one to me, but a perfect session ale. Lots of real ales to try behind the bar. The staff were excellent, very welcoming and friendly. The other customers, older and younger, most likely locals and a few visitors, equally friendly and smiley and welcoming. A pub full of character, warmth and history too. A real treat and a huge thank you for a fantastic evening. We feel we have found our goto pub now. A pub we can confidently take visiting family and friends to for top notch food, drinks and atmosphere, only 20 mins away. See you again soon. So much on the specials board to try next time. A*

One Market Street Cafe
1 Market St, Hatherleigh, OkehamptonGreat atmosphere and food. We’ve become weekly visitors to this cafe , Tom and his wife and all the staff are very friendly and the breakfast menu is amazing with plenty of variety. Always a great experience.Kid-friendliness: The owners have children themselves so are family orientated and welcoming to all ages.

The rooms were spotlessly clean, modern in their amenities, and maintained at a comfortable, warm temperature which was much appreciated. It felt like a cozy haven after a day out.Dinner at the pub was another highlight of our stay. The food was delicious, with a great selection of dishes that seemed to cater to all tastes. The atmosphere in the pub was inviting and lively, making our evening meal even more enjoyable.The staff at The George Inn were friendly and attentive, ensuring our stay was pleasant and comfortable from start to finish. I highly recommend The George Inn to anyone looking for a warm, modern, and welcoming place to stay with the added bonus of great food right on the premises.
