South Petherwin, LauncestonStopped by on a rainy afternoon for a quick bite, was expecting some standard pub grub which, while it's available, is not the only fare on offer. The pies are out of this world, we had the Steak & Stilton and the Lamb & Mint whilst the kids had some fish and chips; all of the food was really really good, and great value too.
On top of that the staff were friendly and really accommodating to our little ones. First rate ??

Andrew and all the staff are fantastic, always happy and helpful. Food is superb.
Well worth coming to the occasional evening events that happen during the year.
Well priced menu, you can bring your own alcohol (evening events).
It is also located at Cowslip Workshops with a fab quilting shop and classes to attend.
Plenty of parking, plus beautiful garden and spaces to sit and eat outside if you wish.
Been coming here over 30 years.
Lovely food and location.

4 Westgate St, LauncestonAmazing place, I didn't catch the old lady's name who works there but if I tell you it's a typical East European grandma, you'll know exactly who I meant when you visit. She was very sweet and kind and her service was amazing. The food was great too and for how cheap it is compared to other places it's mind-blowing. This place is now in my saved places on maps and I am most certainly paying a visit when I visit Cornwall again.

Cocktails were also great.
Staff were friendly, attentive and fast.
Atmosphere in the bar area was lively on a Saturday night, but made it entertaining and enjoyable. Good to see people enjoying themselves.

21 Westgate St, LauncestonThey don’t do food anymore but they let us have a takeaway here and just overall really friendly. The locals are funny as well. Just an overall welcoming pub. Was actually nice to not go somewhere full of tourists… despite being a tourist. Lovely to meet the friendly locals. 100% recommend.

Really nice tomato soup, and southern fried chicken goujons... was pleasantly surprised. Also had a cheese and tomato pizza slice, which was a really good size.

Costa Coffee
Unit 1D, Launceston Retail Park, Hurdon Rd, LauncestonFab staff, friendly and made me feel at ease after accidentally spilling my coffee. They even topped it up again. Staff was kind and gracious.
The place itself is spacious, not crowded, and easy parking.
