Shebbear, BeaworthyVery good Sunday lunch- generous high quality portions,at reasonable prices. Good range of well kept beers we had Otter amber, Guinness and Estrella. Nice blend of catering for visitors and the interests of locals. Fascinating haunting history and don’t forget to see The “Devil’s Stone” a boulder in front of the Church that has to be turned over each 5th November to keep the village safe!

Black River Inn, Broad St, Black Torrington, BeaworthyStaying locally and recommended Sunday lunch but fully booked so went on the Friday night instead. Amazing tapas with unexpected twists using local ingredients. Well worth a visit. Pub was buzzing and definitely book in advance.
