The Black River inn
Black River Inn, Broad St, Black Torrington, BeaworthySearching for a good pub within half an hour of home I came across The Black River Inn and made a late Sunday lunch booking. It’s a lovely old building with a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. The best part was the food which was excellent. We had the three meats roast with a huge selection of veg. Each meat was cooked beautifully on their open fire which gave the succulent chicken especially a lovely smoked taste. I think there were around 10 veg on the sharing board, and I don’t exaggerate in saying they were all perfectly cooked, which is a real accomplishment! Highly recommend. I’ll be back there soon.
