We visited for a work get together one evening, we knew the restaurant was closed as its late in the season so we ordered takeaway and sat on the decking to watch the sun go down. Really friendly, helpful and accommodating staff. Great, fresh and superbly cooked fish and chips. We would highly recommend!
As a local to the area I visit the boathouse quite a bit and I’m never disappointed. Such a lovely place with welcoming staff, cozy interior and amazing food. Great selection of gluten free options which is hard to find and always loads of yummy cakes to choose from. This time I went for the chicken and bacon salad with an iced coffee. Lovely little place, great fish and chips, excellent relaxed service and atmosphere. I would go back if I was ever nearby. Honestly not a single complaint from four adults and a big black lab who even got some treats from our host. Highly recommended!
