After visiting a few years ago we returned. Landlady Becky is very welcoming and her lovely dog Devon. Limited but varied menu as Becky does everything. Had the homemade lasagne, chips and salad. Very tasty and squeezed in sticky toffee for pud. Highly recommended.
My partner and I were in the area visiting relatives and stayed 5 nights with our two Labradoodles. We ate there each day including a delicious Sunday roast lunch. The food was great and too much at times. I asked for half the scrambled eggs on wholemeal toast for breakfast after the first morning. Becky the landlady was funny and so helpful and we fell in love with her gorgeous dog Devon - such a character. Have just been in for Sunday lunch and we had one of the best roast dinners that we’ve had for a while. Choice was limited to pork or lamb but it was beautifully cooked and presented.Lovely ambiance with good beer and a lovely hostess to chat with. As what will be a local pub to us will definitely be returning fairly often.
