Wanting to reiterate much of what’s already been said really but great food, well-kept beer, super-welcoming landlord and lady and staff. Lucky people of Bishopsteignton to have such a brilliant, well-run proper local. Looking forward to our next visit from Somerset.
A beautiful , authentic village pub with amazing detail given to establishing a unique atmosphere with vintage feel . . Michael and Katherine are lovely hosts and an eclectic band of customers lends to a truly enjoyable evening . brilliant section of ciders , beers and wines , all carefully selected by Michael with passion . Went here for the new breakfast menu under new management. Very traditional English breakfast and good value, even better was the total lack of grease! Apart from in the extra fried bread I asked for. Tea was hot and strong and the roaring fire and Christmas decorations made the atmosphere lovely. Service was fast and friendly.
