Namaste Gurkha (Blandford Forum)
11 East St, Blandford ForumWe’ve come on holiday and was looking for a local Indian to try. We used this place and oh my god it was BANGING !! Best Indian I’ve ever had! The peshwari naan was beautiful! We all tried a curry we had never had before because the menu wasn’t a standard Indian menu. All really really enjoyed our curries. The only downfall was the menu and not having your usual curries (to know what heat to go by) I’m a madras girl and I couldn’t see it on the menu so I chose Gurkha curry which is very very close to a madras. My partner had the Everest one nd was on the loo for a hour after but said he would do it all over again because it was lovely ! Delivery bloke was really polite and chatty too which was nice. Will be ordering again when next down !

Tasty Takeaway
36 East St, Blandford ForumChanged chef? Not up to the usual standard, been quite disappointed last two times.
We have out usual go tos, but twice now there has been very little ginger in the chicken and ginger(2 small slices this time), house special rice was more plain with a few bit thrown on top.
Whats with the brown gravy like plum sauce?
House special Chow mein was really greasy, missing, sprouts, spring onions (1 tiny piece).
Hope chef is just temporary!

Brasserie 65
65 East St, Blandford ForumPopped in for a meal today with my lovely wife. As we were visiting Blandford Forum. Ordered two pizzas. They were amazing. Being an Ex baker of 35+ year's and my wife working in the bakery industry for many years we both, really appreciated the quality and flavour of the pizza base's. The owner and staff were lovely.. can't recommend Brasserie 65 enough. If you are in the area and want a proper pizza. Pop in..

China City
33a East St, Blandford ForumWe are eight miles from Blandford, but living in a small village in the countryside we decided to give China City a try instead of our usual takeaway of choice in Wareham. We were not disappointed at all. The food was delicious, there was plenty of it and it was good value for money. Far better than we would get from our usual takeaway and much quicker too. I will however add we ordered our meal on the Sunday following New Year, so probably fewer orders to contend with.
The lady serving was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
We will definitely be using China City as our takeaway of choice from now on.

One of the best cooked breakfasts I’ve had in a while, hot, perfectly cooked and good quality sausage and bacon. I paid upfront (non-refundable) so benefitted from an excellent rate. Dorset's Crafty Barn & Tearoom
Unit 1A, Luccombe Business Centre, Milton Abbas, Blandford ForumWe visited this tearoom a couple of times whilst staying in the area and both times we both had a delicious breakfast. Debbie (the owner) is more than happy to have a chat with you (if she's not too busy) and she will even recommend other places to visit. Be sure to ask her about the two resident ghosts Sally & George. Unfortunately we never got to meet, hear or feel their presence. If we are ever nearby we will definitely return here mainly because it is such a friendly place and my husband loved the scrambled eggs.

Anchor Inn Shapwick
The Anchor inn, West St, Shapwick, Blandford ForumUnlike many reviews here, mine is based upon over 10 visits made in the last year. I am local to the area and regularly visit pubs and other places to eat. Of the many places to eat in and around the Blandford area, this pub continually offers very good food, friendly staff and a lovely ambiance. Of choice, I would either eat here or the White Horse at Stourpaine. Both pubs accept dogs. The Anchor, rightly, has earned a good reputation.

The Gorge Cafe
59 East St, Blandford ForumVery testy very nice tender 59 east street wanna know a fact heat pump is an electric device that moves heat from one place to another to provide heating and cooling for a building: Heating In the winter, a heat pump extracts heat from the outside air or ground and moves it inside. Cooling In the summer, a heat pump moves heat from inside the building to the outside. Heat pumps are more energy efficient than traditional gas or oil boilers and produce fewer carbon emissions. They can be used in all climates and are a cleaner, low- or zero-carbon alternative to heating methods that rely on high-carbon fuels. Here are some things to know about heat pumps: Efficiency Heat pumps can produce around three units of heat for every unit of electricity they use. Types The most common type of heat pump is the air-to-air heat pump, which can reduce electricity use for heating by up to 65%. Installation Air source heat pumps are the most common type of domestic heat pump in the UK and are relatively small and cheaper to install than other types. Very cool fakt so coool YEAH

The Royal Oak
Lower St, Okeford Fitzpaine, Blandford ForumAmazing place run by an amazing landlady! I spent six hours here recently due to a vehicle breakdown and the staff and manager of the Royal Oak were so welcoming, friendly, helpful and supportive.
The locals were great too and in spite of waiting so long for the RAC they all made me feel like part of the family.
Okeford Fitzpaine is a lovely village in Dorset and this pub is the heart of the community.. take a detour and go and visit it. You'll be glad you did.
