Very lucky to have the Saxon a few minutes walk from my house. If ciders are your thing, then I think there are normally about 12 to choose from. The large selection of craft ales is constantly being changed, so every time you pop in, there'll be new ones to try out. The owner and all the staff are very friendly and have a very good knowledge of the ales. The customers are also a friendly bunch, so basically a great place for a beer and a chat.
Lovely wide range of real beer keg and cast options. (Also gins and wine) Friendly and efficient service in a small pub with great atmosphere. An absolute must visit for drinks if visiting Christchurch. (No kids)

Best place for beer in Christchurch.I spend a chunk of time in this area and manage perhaps 6 or 7 visits a year to this cracking micropub. They normally have between 3 and 5 real ales on and lots more craft beers. Many beers are from local breweries and it’s a friendly place with a blend of locals and visitors. A wide range of ciders and gins are also available. Dog friendly as well and you will often find a wagging tail under one of the tables.
