Me and my mate were staying in the area at nearby Wolverton Gatehouse from Gosport and Southampton and thankfully we ended up in this pub. I arrived first and Sara the barmaid made me feel welcome straight away and the locals were good as gold. Tina the Landlady came in later and she couldn't do enough for us even giving us a Christmas toilet roll as a momento. A proper friendly drinking pub for a mixed crowd. We stayed the night here after a day walking on the Jurassic coast. Rob and Tina were so welcoming and lovely. Cooked up a fantastic breakfast for us the next day. Brilliant pub with a great atmosphere. Staying here really made our weekend. Thank you

We visited on an outing in a group of 15 or so. Phoned ahead prior to attending, put a lunch order in. On arrival the landlord, landlady greeted us, showed us to our reserved tables and served us a delightful and sumptuous meal. Cracking location, plenty of parking, premises is in keeping with rest of the village, a real hub of the community. All the staff very friendly, make you feel welcome, well worth a visit, taste the delights and take in the atmosphere.??
