253 Lymington Rd, Highcliffe, ChristchurchThe food in this lovely little restaurant is simply brilliant: my terrine was incredibly tasty, the slow-cooked pork loin just sublime and my partner’s trout reportedly excellent, as was her brioche sweet. Wonderfully friendly proprietor makes one feel really at home. So wrapped up I forgot to take photos but we will definitely be visiting again, so I’ll update this post then.If you want really excellent food I could not recommend this restaurant more highly. Thanks.Parking: Large car park in Whortley Road, just behind the restaurant and parallel with the main Lymington road. Very cheap at £1.30 for three hours

Clubhouse Bar & Restaurant
Highcliffe Castle Golf Club, 107 Lymington Rd, ChristchurchOverall this is a nice holiday park, very clean, well kept and not packed in like sardines. We booked privately and overall our caravan was nice although could have been cleaner. Enough to keep you busy for a few days. Indoor pool is so cold and the jacuzzi is no warmer. The cost of food and drink is an absolute joke. The food wasn’t very nice and lukewarm at best. We only ate there once. £3.45 for a coke! £16 for a burger with chips. Beware that although they only accept cash for bingo and that you need cash for arcades that there is no cash point on site and no shop on site. Nearest shop is a 10 minute walk where you can withdraw money from post office when open or request £50 cash back with a purchase. The evening entertainment was ok, children’s entertainment goes on for a little too long, I think they need to find a fairer way to pick which children get to go up. We were only there 3 nights and the same children were getting picked every night, always a bit disheartening for other children. Park is only about a 15 minute walk to the beach. We wouldn’t stay at this park again it’s very expensive to stay at and to eat and drink there. Beaches are beautiful so would stay in local area again.

The Catch Fish & Chips
331 Lymington Rd, Highcliffe, ChristchurchThe fish was very tasty but the chips were warm.That's why I gave it four and not five stars.Dietary restrictions: I'm dairy intolerant but wanted the battered fish. They explained how they make the batter and showed me the packet they use. It was dairy free and really nice.
