Sunday lunch with my husband. Warm welcome from Sophie, cosy relaxed atmosphere, nothing was too much trouble . Wood burners, log fire and twinkling fairy lights. Lunch was delicious, particularly my calamari and my husband’s roast beef. Generous portions reasonably priced. Only complaint is we were too full for pudding! I visited with a friend for a Sunday roast and was not disappointed. Food was very tasty and large portions. Good value in today's prices. I will certainly return. The restaurant was quiet, which benefited us but a shame for the workers. Its not on the main track so probably overlooked. I would definitely recommend a visit. Staff were welcoming and keen to please.

We visited Poole and stayed in The Travelodge close to the train station. Due to an issue food and drinks were not available. We were advised to visit The Brewhouse. After a short walk we were inside this interesting building. The female barmaid was very friendly and helpful. We had 6 chicken and 6 cauliflower wings with a portion of chips. We also had two of the in-house beers during happy hour. Good value for money, enjoyable food and drinks.
