The Salt Cellar

Best view you can ever have! I also got nice Shaftesbury souvenirs there. The service is really good. A must-do if you are looking for an iconic view while having a nice coffee/meal.

The Ugly Duckling Cafe

This is great ? great fry up served all day. The courgette & Avocado cake was fantastic. The staff were lovely & did so well as it was busy when we arrived.

San Tonino Restaurant

Visited for the first time earlier this week, and was very pleasantly surprised!

Even on a Thursday evening, the place was busy (so it's worth booking), but there was a nice, friendly atmosphere.

It's a couple of minutes' walk from Bell St. car park or Angel Lane; there's no parking at the actual restaurant.

The food was excellent (I had the Sea Bass, my partner had Penne Arrabiata) with good portion sizes and really great flavour. The hardest part was choosing what to have!

Staff were happy and helpful.. overall an excellent night out, and I'll definitely be back.

La Fleur de Lys

Attractive small hotel. Spotlessly clean comfortable room and excellent breakfast in the centre of Shaftesbury. Staff exemplary and nothing too much trouble. Also good off street parking for residents.
Can’t wait to find an excuse to visit again.

The Benett Arms

Denyse and Deborah are the most welcoming hosts of this charming rural idyll.
A lovely quiet spot nestled among farmland and countrydide.A perfect way to spend a weekend . Breakfast was delicious too ..thanks for your hospitality .We'll be back!! Xx

The Coppleridge Inn

We have not been to the Coppleridge for years . Now under new management we went for Sunday lunch and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. Well done to Rupert and Sophie to have started with a bang and got everything up and running so quickly. We shall look forward to many more fun times there again.

Gusto

I’ve been to this lovely cafe three times now and each time had their jacket potato with tuna. The food is great, really good size spud beautifully cooked with generous filling and side salad. Staff are really friendly. Definite value for money and will be visiting again. Thank you .

The John Peel

My favourite place in town to go for good English breakfast. Absolutely amazing staff and always welcoming and friendly service. Not to mention good sized full English and nice hot drinks.

Surprisingly good pub tucked away from the main high street
Reasonable choice of food great portion for the starter good value and beer not bad worth tracking down but don't tell everyone even have a cat waiting tables

Nest

Really flavoursome food with a twist! Can be busy and quiet depending when you visit. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I think the quality is worth the money you spend here.

Chutney's

Ordered a meal for my daughter's 17th birthday. Took 2 hours to get delivered as they had to recook it, due it being delivered to the wrong address and the person being dishonest. It was rectified and we all enjoyed the food. The manager and delivery guy was very apologetic. Would I order again? Yes I would.

Marmaris

Ordered few times mixed grill and burgers, pizzas, kebabs . Fast , food is fresh and tastes great. One time mixed grill was not quite as good ,but other times it has been spot on and very fresh and fast. Only take away we currently order as its always been spot on and can trust it to be nice food, except that one time, but all other times it's been perfect.

The Shaftesbury Deli

I called in to the Shaftesbury Deli this morning, and what a lovely experience it was. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with seemingly nothing being too much trouble. I decided to 'eat in', and had a choice of the 'Tiny Tearoom' at the back of the shop, the garden which was kitted out with tables, benches and large umbrellas and accessed via a steep flight of quaint old stairs, or a tiny balcony (table and chairs for two) with far reaching views to distant hills. I chose the balcony where I dined on a delicious sausage roll and a coffee. The shop itself was well stocked with interesting cheeses, ice creams, eggs and many other delights. I will definitely be paying the Shaftesbury Deli another trip very soon. Would highly recommend.

Reeve The Baker

Great bread and cakes. Best lardy cake in the area. Sourdough is great and their sausage rolls are lovely. Our only local bakers and we get all our bread from here. Service is good. Atmosphere? It's a shop!!!

Aroma

First takeaway from Aroma, and, boy, what have I been missing! Quite simply, the best takeaway ever. Fantastic food, quite light, but incredibly tasty. My new favourite restaurant!

Domino's Pizza - Shaftesbury

We ordered from here last Friday on the way home from a late lunch. Good pizza. Not fatty. Really tasty. Clean place to order from. Ready in less than 25minutes. Never had a problem here. Would recommend.

The Grove Arms

My wife and I went for a lite lunch on Saturday.
New owners are very friendly and welcoming. Food was great and really well priced. Looking forward to a Sunday lunch there ...( Once their new cooker is installed)

Excellent. Great to see the pub back to the way it used to be !

Thai Kitchen

When we arrived…it looked like to much effort to see us in to our table… took a long time between getting a first drink and ordering our starters and meals… no drinks menu.. when we asked about drinks…. We were told soft drinks and beers… we had to guess what they had ????Slow service… but food was very good and nicely put out….. All we needed was a human and not a robot….maybe because she was doing everything on her own….. it was to much… a smile to next time would be nice too..

China cottage 4 bell street Shaftesbury

Tip - if being delivered you need to pay on arrival by PayPal or cash. I had to set up a PayPal account just for this purpose, transfer monies to it and then I couldn’t get the app to work to pay the driver. Strongly recommend a different payment system with just a card reader or pay when you order. However we were very pleased with phone. Very generous portions. The special mixed meat rice was a full meal in itself! Large chunks of meat and vegetables on top. Good service and quick delivery.

Subway

So much better than before. Obviously made some improvements. Service was a little slow as for some reason they only had 1 worker over lunch, but he was great. Atmosphere is difficult as it's such a small store - I wouldn't want to eat in. Food was good, but for some reason they just didn't have anything we wanted - some kind of stocking issue. Will rereview again shouldParking: There is parking but can be touchy and people park like loonies.

KFC Shaftsbury - Ivy Cross

Food- no complaints, every time I've been my food has always been hot and most other KFC's I've been too are really bad with that usually results in cold food. They're good with getting your order right, without missing items or a completely different order.

Service- I had no problems, I go through the drive thru, staff are kind, service with a smile.

Atmosphere- Like I've said I go through the drive thru but the times I have sat in I've had no problems at all.

Parking: There is limited spaces but It all depends on what time of the day you go that determines how many spaces there are. It's time restricted also.

Kid-friendliness: Seen plenty of families with their children there so I mean, yes it's kid friendly. I don't know what else to put about this subject.

Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, has doors you can open with the disabled button and has 2 disabled parking bays which are right by the door to kfc.

The Half Moon

Had a lovely meal at the Half Moon in Shaftesbury, lots of choice , very friendly. Family of 6. Service and food great. Good prices will definitely be visiting again. Thank you.
