7A Station Rd, SwanageWe went for dinner this evening. We were welcomed in and had the menu explained thoroughly. We all had the croquette's which were lovely. For mains my wife and I had ribs which were pretty much the best we have ever had. Our son had the chuck steak which he really enjoyed. I did try some and it was very good. I would have given this 5stars but it was very cold and they lacked heating. Staff were great and we definitely recommend as the food was top notch.

5 Institute Rd, SwanageWe (grandad, mum, two children, both autistic) arrived at the busiest time but were lucky enough to get a table. Plenty of room at the table for everyone. A very experienced waitress. Good choices of food (when we eventually decided) and freshly cooked. I wanted a Brown Derby to finish but it wasn't to be. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Would very happily go again. Such a nice, relaxed family environment. I've also eaten there alone and it was just as good.

Durlston Country Park, Lighthouse Road, SwanageGood coffee and tea serve ( in a pot with a decent amountvof nilk to accompany). Didn't eat here but menu looked good. GF options available. Building accessible and some interesting bits to explore. Easily the best views from Swanage area. Friendly service. Will revisit.

14/16 Station Rd, SwanageSwanage is a really good greggs. The 2 guys working there on Friday Pm shift were amazing they did my pizza for us and sorted a greggs bag for us too they were very polite and helpful and great with customers better than the Bournemouth or Poole branch. All my trips to swanage is popping into the greggs too.

343 High St, Swanagethe golden bengal is a wonderful restaurant serving authentic, flavourful dishes. the staff were friendly, accommodating and welcoming making the overall experience 5 stars. the curries are made to a high standard and are the best i've ever had, the naan also paired perfectly with the curries and were lovely and soft, the onion bahjis were the best i've had with great flavours and perfect texture. overall fabulous restraunt and would highly recommend.

Dragon Inn Chinese Restaurant
15 High St, SwanageWe just had a great takeaway delivered from here. The food was lovely, tasty and piping hot. We would have given 5 stars but, unfortunately, our request for no onions/veg was not followed through (lucky it was a preference and not an intolerance). Despite this, we would visit again as the food was delicious?\n\nAlso, interestingly the Beef in Black bean had fresh chilli in it (just in case anyone else is not expecting this).

1A High St, SwanageMy husband and I tried many pubs during our stay in Swanage and this was the most pleasant and efficient. They did not serve food as far as I could tell. They had a nice outdoor seating area out front. There is a well covered in glass in the bar. The toilets were clean.

Ulwell, SwanageAmazingly staff. They are so friendly and helpful. Nothings too much trouble.
The meals are really fresh and tasty. Great variety and perfect size. The specials board is great too. We have been with our family there a few times now and have always managed to get a table. Plenty of room between tables and feels very welcoming.
Would highly recommend.

1 High St, SwanageLovely place on the harbour. Seating outdoors and under cover. Very casual atmosphere. Toilets over the road, you have to mind your heads to get in, but reasonably clean. Menu would be nice with a little more variety but chicken burger was lovely. Nice chunky chips. Extremely tasty sachets of ketchup with plenty in each. Same size of mayo too. Battered sausage meal included 2 very large ones filling more than half the plate making it enough for 2! We took a sausage home. Good coffee. Over all very happy with the place, would return another day. £15 mains could be considered above average, depends what you're used to. Nice staff.

Worth Matravers, SwanageAn amazing pub, very dog friendly. My dogs Barney and Bandit greeted on entry and given dog treats. Once the dogs were suitably attended to it was the turn of the humans. Fantastic staff, knowledgeable on the beers on offer with some helpful advice from a local. Went for a pasty and a pint of HBA both welcome on a wet and windy December day. Moved on to a slice of lovely Dorset apple cake and another pint. Sadly it started to rain heavily so I had to stay for a third pint and chat with the friendly locals. This really is a lovely pub that I would happily visit time and time again, food menu is limited but ale and cider are plentiful. Parking in car park round the corner up the hill, it's a pay car park not attached to the pub. If you are anywhere near make the detour to this amazing, friendly pub.

Studland, SwanageLovely beach shack cafe, our lattes were really good - took a while to make, but definitely worth it! Served in proper cups rather than paper ones which is nice. My son liked his hot choc too. Raspberry croissant was delicious & husband enjoyed his pasty. Young lads serving were nice & friendly. Cost about £20 in total. It was quiet when we arrived but getting busy by the time we left. Some long tables for seating, but can take food/drinks to the beach too. Great location, can recommend ??

SwanageHaving been told there was a 2 hour wait at our chosen restaurant just round the corner, my family and I stumbled across this family-run gem over the weekend and it was superb - simply delicious seafood and we were served outside by the lovely Merry who made us feel so welcome - thank you. I cannot recommend this place too highly!

1-5 Commercial Rd, SwanageA lovely welcome by the staff and a superb menu to choose from. We weren't disappointed with any of the food and the 'special John Dory with Lobster and Lobster sauce' was exceptional as was the monkfish in a curry sauce. The starters were great and the desserts lovely too. The only criticism would be the stark appearance of the restaurant, ie no tablecloths, paper napkins and the lighting leaves much to be desired to create a lovely ambience as a little like a school hall but the food absolutely can't be faulted!

Royal Oak, 417 High St, SwanageWe were so impressed with our dining experience at the Royal Oak. The owner was friendly and welcoming. We were sat in a small dining area with our two dogs. We had an amazing 11 veg on our plates and the chicken,beef and pork were some of the best we have ever eaten. Dessert was also perfect. One of the most delicious Sunday roast meals we have all eaten. Thank you for such a lovely dinning experience.

We have a 7 year old girl, and it's a great environment to have a drink, let her play in the arcade and on the rides, have a round of crazy golf and generally enjoy being on holiday. Our daughter loves the ice cream, we like to have a beer, and when the sun goes down you can sit in one of the booths and play cards and chat. The staff are always super-friendly and family oriented. It was the highlight of our family holiday to cash all our tickets in on the last night, and our daughter was so pleased with her big teddy and her massive bag of candy floss for the trip home!!! Thank you so much guys! See you soon we hope!

It was presented in a lovely way, and many people told me how impressed they were with it. They catered for 120 people but there was more than enough food for everyone. Totally hassle free in the delivery and subsequent clearing up. Thank you

27 Kings Rd W, SwanageI organised a Wake here recently and it was perfect. The staff could not have been more helpful, and the food was amazing. I needed a gluten free selection, and they went all out to provide a fantastic range of food for me. Another thing that really impressed me about the Club is how clean it is throughout, including the toilets. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a quiet drink and tasty food or who wants to organise a function. 10 out of 10.

Grand Hotel
Burlington Road, SwanageWe didn't stay, so cannot comment on the rooms.
We had a wonderful New Year's Eve dinner dance at the Grand Hotel. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was jolly and the waiting staff were brilliant. Very proactive, not reactive. They were efficient at serving and noticed if you needed the water topped up.
A very good evening all round.
