The beef was tender and perfectly cooked, and the cauliflower cheese was rich, creamy, and a standout side. The service was equally impressive — friendly, attentive, and well-timed. Everything arrived promptly, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome throughout. Overall, the experience was exceptional and well worth the money. I did have a few pints of carling which again was fine overall I really enjoyed my visit so yes would definitely recommend here.

Food is always Fresh and the meat is perfect tender and don't smell like old meat or frozen meat like most places. This is also the only place where I only eat the döner meat, taste is really good. Also, you don't get only really good takeaway but for me is also important a nice smile and have a small chit-chat. I always get a smile from SiSi team with out perfect takeaway. I wanted to thank you all the SiSi team for their hard work and delivering perfect food everytime. I also want to mention, everday when they finished their shift, they clean everything but everything in the kitchen. I know this, as I walk every day past the shop. Thank you guys and our takeaway was perfect again today as always.

What was a little confusing was that although advertised as dog friendly, we were told dogs weren’t allowed during Sunday Carvery. However a very kind member of Staff let us go ahead to eat as we had already payed for the food.

There is a good area at the rear of the property for drinking outside, which is great for good weather. The owner is very friendly and there is a good choice of drinks, that are sold at reasonable prices.

Stockton-on-Tees, BillinghamMy friend and I visited John Whitehead cafe on Wednesday 23rd July.
My friend had the breakfast and I had the vegetarian breakfast.
The breakfasts were very tasty,presented well. They were not greasy and the portion size was perfect. Nice and hot and freshly cooked from scratch.
The black coffee and decaff latte where also perfect.
The staff in the cafe very nice and helpful. Prompt service and where asked if everything alright. Which it was. We would definitely recommend this lovely community cafe.
