91 Front St, Chester-le-StreetMy sister and I came to Carsons on a recommendation from one of the people in a shop we visited in the High St at Chester Le Street. I had the veggie and Hazel tried the Scottish breakfast. It was great food, great service and a good price. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area If you want a decent breakfast in a lovely atmosphere.

My breakfast thos morning was great and cappuccino served just how I like it, not too hot.
Staff are very friendly the place has a family run feel to it.

6-9, Ashfield Terrace, Chester-le-StreetBooked a table for 8 people for 5pm, restaurant confirmed booking. On arrival told by waitress that we could only order from the back page of menu set meals. In our party we have 3 vegetarians, I’m gluten intolerant. The choice was not great but we managed to order something. Potato skins came and I double checked gluten free, this was confirmed and so I began eating them along with the pots of garlic and bbq sauce on the plate. Then another plate of skins arrived with a gluten free label in the garlic, so I asked waitress if there was any difference due to the garlic sauce looking different, she assured me it was all gluten free and the same. The first looked seasoned, with maybe pepper in it. I opted for the salmon which wasn’t to my liking. After paying the bill we noticed another large party nearby had been able to order from the main menu, yet we’d been told that due to staff shortages it was set meals only. My concern is due to my allergy I may have eaten something that contains gluten, also how the sudden change in food available to order within half an hour difference of arriving.

3 Bridge End, Chester-le-StreetPopped in (3 of us) whilst visiting from East Midlands, lovely welcome from both staff & manager.
Have to say the quality and quantity of food was excellent, you could actually taste the separate ingredients of each dish.
So wish we had such a good VFM(value for money) Chinese near us, even though my waistline wouldn’t thank me!

They couldn't do enough for us and ensured the day ran smoothly. The food was gorgeous and replenished as and when to ensure it was hot and fresh. Front St, Great Lumley, Chester-le-StreetI attended an open mike night at the snooks. There was a really friendly welcoming atmosphere that gives ordinary people the chance to enjoy performing live for an audience. There was a range of singers and styles on view and everyone seemed to enjoy the night. I will be back for more Every second Tuesday.

11 S Burns, Chester-le-StreetI haven't actually been there, but it's definitely gonna be a five star without me even trying it because the food will probably be exceptional probably even Michelin star style The service is really really really good especially how you can most likely get a taxi there and it will have a bottle of water in the taxi. How incredible is that? My uncle used to work there and it is really hydrated and it's probably got really clean shop or restaurant or whatever you meant to call it Five stars no cap.

Front St, Chester Moor, Chester-le-StreetBooked a table in advance although there was no need as being early Jan, they were relatively quiet, shown to our table & menus provided, drinks order taken whilst waiting for family to arrive, tbh there was such a range on the menu it took us a while to order. The food when it arrived was well presented & tasted wonderful, was piping hot too which was a bonus, kids & hubby got a pudding each, hubby devoured the Eton mess, kids couldn’t eat their sticky toffee puddings as the portions were huge, would suggest you possibly share but I’m not a pudding person although they looked & smelt amazing. Based on this experience we would definitely return & recommend to others, shout out to John the member of staff dealing with us who was really engaging & very pleasant, thank you!

New Red Lantern
185 Front St, Chester-le-StreetI left a scathing review 2 years ago in my partners name and vowed we would not go back. However, we saw a review on social media which highly recommended this food.
It must have a new chef. The food was very tasty.
Chop Suey Rolls were very crispy and tasty.
House Special Thai Green curry had a kick to it but again very tasty.
I had Hong Kong style sweet and sour pork which was lovely and not at all though as I can be.
Noodles were soft and really tasty.
Chilli and garlic shredded beef was nice but could have done with some more garlic to my taste.
The only disappointment was the fried rice, it didn’t appear to be fresh but I still ate it lol!
It was delivered before the time given and the driver was friendly and polite.
We were driving to Shiney Row for our Chinese but we have found our new, more local one.
We WILL be back!!

But, please, be more attentive- I have ordered pizza “Primavera” with additional cheese, sweet corn, chicken! But it was spicy! I don’t know why?! My daughter can’t eat spicy food, so she was a bit upset as this pizza is her favorite! Especially in your pizza house! She prefers your one! Any way, we will still order and get the testiest pizza in Chester le Street from you, but be more attentive! Thank you!

Bridge End, Front St, Chester-le-StreetPizzas are unreal from here ive never had an issue with figaro since moving to Chester le street id definitely recommend this takeway to anybody that lives local or even elsewhere you definitely get your moneys worth and the staff and delivery drivers and very friendly and they also have very fair prices compared to some other takeaways.

Every volunteer had a smile and spoke to us both.
There are items for people to take and pay what they can afford.
It really is a wonderful use of food that otherwise would be wasted.

Nothing was a bother, even putting the rugby on the TV above my table for me to watch. Karaoke night was so much fun, free raffle tickets with every round of drinks, free shots with every song you sing. The music, entertainment, sound system and many many TV's playing just about any sport you want. Fabulous!!
