The Canteen Bar & Kitchen
Unit 3 Norland House Business Centre, Byerley Rd, ShildonBacon sandwich and hot chocolate were absolutely beautiful. Bacon was thick and tasty. My friend had a Breakfast Bun and thoroughly enjoyed hers too.....we will be back!! Highly recommended

Sarah's Plaice
7 Albert St, ShildonLast week my husband and I went on the spur of the moment for a fish and chip lunch at Sarah’s Plaice in Shildon it was very quiet which was sad as I would highly recommend it as the staff were very helpful and friendly and they have a pensioners portion on the menu with bread and butter and a pot of tea to make the meal complete we shall certainly return I wish them luck .

Walworth Castle Hotel, DarlingtonWas down from scotland staying close by and decided to come along for dinner and a few drinks. The restaurant is very nice inside, the staff were all very friendly and the food was great. Moved into the lounge area of the hotel after for a final drink before leaving which was a good comfortable space.

11-13 Main St, ShildonIn the near 30 years I have lived in Shildon, the George is the only pub I have felt comfortable in.
Beth and Lee are the best and make everyone feel welcome.
Great atmosphere and great prices.
I come here at least once a week for my fix of Vodka!!!!!

102-104 Main St, ShildonWhen the chip shop across the road from me was shut, I went off in search for another takeaway where I could order a good pizza from, and given how I passed by Main Place a few times I decided to check it out one time and I was blown away!
Their pizzas are unlike any other I've had, they aren't greasy and the dough is very fluffy and soft, the flavour compliments everything and it's reasonably priced, I definitely recommend you give them a look one day.

26 Church St, ShildonWe had a takeaway delivery last night, the food was delicious, plenty of it and piping hot. I had a Lamb Dupiaza which was fantastic, the meat was so tender! My girlfriend had a Chicken Tikka Masala, beautiful thick, tasty sauce and the meat had almost a BBQ flavour from the tandoor. We ordered ahead of wanting to eat, we were given a time for delivery that the driver matched. All in all, excellent service. Thank you all at Red Chilli ?

100 Main St, ShildonAn upstairs restaurant hard to see from the street. Worth the stair climb to a great little restaurant. Food was hot, fresh and great portion sizes. We dined early on a Saturday night, quiet and so got all the attention service wise. Prices were great too.

Got a munchie box and pizza with 20% off and the munchie box was good value even before the discount. Box was packed full of food. Surprised to have chip shop style chips rather than frozen as lots of takeaways do now. Not the best ever quality donner meat or onion rings but for the price really can’t complain. The tikka chicken, lamb and naan was lovely. Pizza was decent too. Would definitely order again

22 Church St, ShildonGreat Chinese food at very reasonable prices compared to other takeaway food. As a Shildon resident, I've always used this as my go to place for Chinese. In the 8 years I've lived here, I've never had a single bad meal from them. I'd recommend that anyone local or visiting the area gives the a try.
