What a traditional, warm place. Landlord is young. Very competent for his age. We had brilliant philosophical debates and kept me there all night! The lad knows what he’s doing! Couldn’t recommend more. His dogs are charming too?

Hi we had 3 large Haddock with chips from Debbie's tonight, they were absolutely gorgeous,nice crispy batter and mmmmm lovely flakey haddock the best I have tasted up here, we will definitely be calling again soon

we took some friends to see christmas in the entrance hall. we were worried about their mobility and actually getting them to the castle. my husband spoke to a member of staff and explained. we were then allowed to drive right up to the castle and park the cars outside so they didn't have to walk through the gardens and deer park. absolutely amazing service
