Visited with friends today. Nice warm welcome from Alice who swiftly sorted our drinks order, brought the menus and talked us through the offers. We all chose from the 2 course Special menu which has an excellent choice. 2 Prawn and Melon Cocktails, 1 Garlic Mushrooms, 1 French Onion Soup (all delicious!!) we called into the ship for a couple of drinks after having a meal up the road, straight away we felt cozy and welcome, found a comfortable sofa and settled in. There was a good range of drinks, with a fantastic wine menu. We stayed until late playing darts in front of the fire We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night for dinner. Great place if you want a nice pint and some wholesome food after a bracing coast walk. The staff are really friendly service is good, lots of food choices and prices are reasonable. What’s not to love about this place, plus the beer garden looks fabulous but not for a snowy afternoon in January. We will definitely return
