8-10 Eastbourne Rd, Pevensey Bay, PevenseyWe always pop in here when visiting the beach and can I just say every time we’ve been there the customer service is phenomenal, the young lady is so nice and polite, that also goes for the food, always hot and fresh, couldn’t recommend this place enough, just wish I could get people like yourself working for me. ?

Smugglers Restaurant
High St, PevenseyAte two lovely meals here with friends over the last four days. The roasts on Sunday with a free starter were really good and yesterday evening we ate poached salmon, fillet steak, pork belly and a ceaser salad with free starters and free desserts. The pub was exceptionally busy and the owners deserve to do well as they definitely put the effort in. The staff were attentive and very welcoming. Will definitely book a table when in the area next. Shame we're not local. Well done all the staff ??

27 High St, Westham, PevenseyCame for a quiz, hadn't been before, really great atmosphere, staff were so friendly and accommodating. We played an unusual game of bingo, which was so much fun & is a regular Thursday evening feature. Great place to spend the evening.

Ocean view bakery & restaurant
7 Eastbourne Rd, Pevensey Bay, PevenseyHadn't booked a table but the staff were very accommodating to seat a group of 5.They helped with getting our elderly parents in and out of the cafe. We all had breakfast which was lovely. Fast and friendly service. Great atmosphere. Definitely will visit again (even if it's just for the odd cake or two

Swan Traditional
2 High St, Westham, PevenseyWow. A random stop to get a small chips and as they had my favourite fish (rock/huss/dogfish) I had to. The best and freshest I have ever had. Imagine stumbling across the best ever steak you’ve had on your life. It was like that but a fish! I didn’t pick my ref to match my favourite fish dish but made me giggle. Great service

The Star Inn
Sluice Ln, Normans Bay, PevenseyVisited on the first day of our holiday, food is excellent and cheap, double bonus. Staff are very friendly and the restaurant was clean and well lit. Enjoyed the food and experience that much we booked to eat there another 2 nights during our holiday.
Returned again for another 2 visits two years later and still excellent value for money, food is still really good.

Hands down, this is the best Indian cuisine I’ve had in recent memory, and unquestionably the top around Eastbourne (it’s actually in Pevensey, just a quick 5-minute drive from Sovereign Harbour). The flavors are bold, authentic, and perfectly balanced every time. Plus, they offer a 20% discount for cash payments, making it even better value. I’ve been ordering online and picking up weekly for the past two months, and each order leaves me more impressed and satisfied. If you’re after outstanding Indian food, Raipur is a must-try!

Court Shops, 1 Eastbourne Rd, Pevensey Bay, PevenseyI come all the way from Hailsham to come eat here. Never had an issue and food has always been 10/10. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Always a nice place to come and eat.

The Royal Oak & Castle
High St, PevenseyA family sunday lunch. Food was faultless, loads of it and a very reasonable price. Service was friendly and not intrusive. Pub was nice. Only said 4 star as garden could do with a tidy and toilets has no toilet paper or hand soap. Minor details, I know, but important to me for the 5 stars. Will definitely return.

Hailsham Rd, Stone Cross, PevenseyInitially we were a little concerned as we’d booked a table for 6 and went to the dog friendly side only to be greeted by a large group of musicians, singing and playing on most of the tables. However, as soon as I spoke to a staff member, we were moved to the quieter side so were more than happy.
Re the food: My Grandaughter said the chips were ‘banging’ ? her boyfriend said the hotdog was ‘delightful’. Hubby said that the steak was cooked perfectly and enjoyed all of the meal as did the other members of the group. My only disappointment was the pie, which was very dried out and not great tbh. Having said that, the dog rather enjoyed it ?
The service was very good and we had a lovely family meal. Will definitely visit again.

A259, PevenseyWoah M G! Brown Sugar Oatmilk Iced Shaken Esspressos really are the best. As are strawberry cream frappuccinos with soya milk and a vegan whip topping. Everything is pretty yummy and as a vegan I still had a range of drink options. Would be nice to see more vegan SNACKS in future though. But overall EXCELLENT!

The Red Lion
