80 High St, HailshamAs far as I know Callenders Restaurant in Hailsham where you are guaranteed to be able to get roast lamb on a Sunday at the same price as other meats. Today the chef excelled himself. Delicious. Keep up the good work.

Gardner St, Herstmonceux, HailshamThe Sundial is one of my all-time favourite restaurants. I have been going for many years and the food and hospitality has always been of the highest standard. The wine list is astonishingly well priced, featuring heavily Bordeux reds, and their selection of Armagnacs always makes me happy. My six year old loved the foie gras and the beef carpaccio!

66 High St, HailshamHad a delivery of scampi, chips and mushy peas today ..... absolutely lovely ? loads of juicy scampi pieces too! Chips were just how I like them, soft and fluffy with slight crunch. Mushy peas were mushy peas, yum, not green gravy as in some shops.

68 High St, HailshamHad Biriani but with masala sauce and keema naan. Excellent taste, really tasty. Wife had chicken tikka with plain rice. Excellent with exceptionally fluffy rice. Good value and really quick service for a Saturday. Delivery guy was funny and polite. Will be back.

Domino's Pizza - Hailsham
32 High Street, HailshamI'd like to thank and give a huge shout out to the young blood in Dominoes, I had a problem with the App and I handed my phone to both Leo and Dylan, and they saw that the app was the problem!! They as in Leo and Dylan sorted it out and talked to the Management who may I add was a very nice man. They helped me to no end and my pizza is delicious. Thank you guys. I look forward to seeing you again.

The coffee shop is amazing, from the delicious coffee to the food, cakes, and a lovely kids menu that makes it perfect for families. What really makes this place stand out though is the people. The staff are incredible, so kind, caring, and genuinely welcoming. Diddi (apologies, not sure of the spelling) in particular is one of the most uplifting people I’ve met in a long time. The customer service felt magical from start to finish. Thank you so much for such a beautiful experience. We cannot wait to come back. This is easily our favourite coffee shop now.

1 George St, HailshamWe recently visited The George Hotel, which is easily one of the cosier pubs from JD Wetherspoon. It has more of a country-style feel than most - warm, relaxed, and the kind of place you actually enjoy sitting in for a while, which we really liked.
We did have a bad experience on our first visit, but credit where it’s due: the team addressed it properly. When we came back, the staff were genuinely welcoming and made a real effort — they even came over to check on us, which meant a lot and showed they actually care about their customers.
It’s refreshing to see that level of sincerity, and it completely changed our impression. Comfortable atmosphere, friendly service, and a nice cosy vibe overall. We’d happily return.

Unfortunately, the coffee from the portafilter machine wasn't that good and the paninis, although freshly prepared, were simple.
We sat outside and enjoyed the view and the atmosphere of the castle.

She was professional & a charming young lady.
She was friendly, bubbly & when we asked 4 our toasties to be done on both sides she happily obliged.
Nothing was too much trouble & when we left she called out thank you, goodbye.

A267 Hellingly, A22, HailshamFriendly staff and drinks were made quickly despite it being busy! There are plenty of seats available, free Wi-Fi and plug sockets. Toilets are available as well. It looks much better now with the refurbishment. The car park has been resurfaced which is great, it was full of potholes before.
Only negative is it can get a little noisy inside if busy, must be the open plan layout.
