The White Hart Inn
The Green, Catsfield, BattleWe visited on a very busy Easter Sunday, we chose this over another local pub as this one was safer to walk to from where we were staying, the pub was packed and it was quite overwhelming at first, the Service and food was great however! We had a good time but we would have stayed much longer after the meal if it wasn't so busy and hot in there but not much the owners can do about this, I would definitely recommend if in the area but I would definitely say avoid this on bank holidays especially if you plan to take dogs with you!

The Ash Tree Inn
The Ash Tree Inn, Brown Bread St, Ashburnham, BattleHad probably the best roast of my life yesterday at this pub! I had the roast belly of pork and it was delicious - the crackling was unreal. For pudding, I had the sticky toffee pudding served with toffee sauce and cutard, which was incredible. The service was great and the atmosphere was really lively. Tucked away and quite an unassuming place but definitely worth the visit!

The Red Lion
Denbigh Rd, Hooe, BattleThis was our first visit to this lovely pub. Great ambience and decor, staff are very friendly and the food was delicious (we had the beef roast which was reasonably priced and plentiful. This is a little gem , also forgot to mention the generously sized garden area. Will definitely be returning very soon.
